Apologies for the delay, but to feed to time lapse, we're doing ANOTHER double (and because there were 2 clear leaders). In tenth place we have 152's beloved 'Danny the Champion of the World'. In quite a morbid, dark tale of fatherhood and poverty, the story charts Danny's imaginative stance at driving away Mr Hazell with the help of many pheasants and a few sleeping pills. The relationship between Danny and his father is one of the sweetest that Dahl has told.

And we also lose 'Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator' the sequel to 'Chocolate Factory' which is still holding strong in the polls. It was intended to be part of a trilogy, but alas this remained the final story in the tales of Charlie. After gaining ownership of the factory, Charlie and Willy Wonka journey travel in the Glass Elevator of the title eventually being linked with the 'Space Hotel' where the occupants are mistaken for extra-terrestrial beings. It's just as absurd as the first book in the series, but certainly lacks a lot of the charm that made that one so great, so i'm glad it crashes out before book #1~

Deadline: Tuesday 16th February

09. Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator (9 votes, 27.27%)
10. Danny the Champion of the World (16 votes, 48.48%)

12. The Enormous Crocodile (16 votes, 28.57%)
14. The Magic Finger (14 votes, 19.72%)
14. The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me (14 votes, 19.72%)
15. Boy: Tales of Childhood (17 votes, 19.32%)

It's between Fantastic Mr Fox and George's Marvellous Medicine for me but i've gone for Fox. They're definitely the next two that need to go in my opinion ~

I went for Fox as it's the one I've revisited the least, George is my favourite but I doubt it will win.

Voted for The Witches, that and The BFG are the weakest two at this stage imo.

I think The Witches is the least memorable one for me personally.

Had to go with The Witches but there's next to nothing in it.

James and the Giant Peach for me, it's the one I'm least familiar with. So tough now though.
