PICK TWO
??th. Into the Dalek (4 votes | 14.81%) Into the Dalek saw the 12th Doctor waste no time in experiencing his first taste of the Daleks. The Doctor and Clara land on spaceship that contains a captured Dalek who has declared that the Daleks must be destroyed. To investigate this and to gain better knowledge of the Dalek race, the pair, along with three soldiers are miniaturised and sent inside the Dalek where they face scary things such as antibodies. Its all very much like a Dalek version of the Teslectea seen in Series 6. It's a fun story but nothing that stands out when compared to other episodes. It was the first episode to also feature Danny Pink, and exploring more of Clara's life as well as exploring whether the Doctor is a good man. It highlighted the more angry side to this new version. ??th. Last Christmas (4 votes | 14.81%) Last Christmas was the first 12th Doctor Christmas special, airing just a few weeks after the Series 8 finale. Despite the inclusion of Santa and his elves (), the episode is possibly the scariest Christmas special and it is by far my favourite so I'm very upset to see it out so soon! The episode takes inspiration from films such as Alien and, particularly, Inception. At the North Pole, a base has been invaded by dream crabs, monsters that make their victims experience pleasant dreams whilst eating them alive. The crabs look pretty horrific and it results in dreams inside dreams inside dreams. It has a fantastic supporting cast, with Shona joining a list of the companion that never was! 15th. Under the Lake / Before the Flood (8 votes | 29.63%) The first 'official' two parter falls in 15th place. It was a story that has a LOT of promise but ultimately failed to deliver. There was a fairly slow pace taken in Under the Lake but this did help to build up the atmosphere and it could have been paid off with a great second part. Ultimately though this didn't happen and we were left with a very rushed ending and an underdeveloped villain. I do enjoy base under siege stories but there needed to be a bit more in this story as it there seemed to be a lot of filler. For example, there was a lot of running back and forth, back and forth, to that cage. The ghosts were effective but could have been used to greater effect as they helped to create chilling highlights - chasing after the deaf woman. 16th. Robot of Sherwood (5 votes | 17.86%) 17th. The Girl Who Died (5 votes | 17.86%) / 8/15 votes in tiebreaker 18th. The Caretaker (9 votes | 32.14%) 19th. Kill the Moon (6 votes | 19.35%) 20th. The Woman Who Lived (8 votes | 25.81%) 21st. Sleep No More (4 votes | 13.79%) 22nd. In the Forest of the Night (9 votes | 31.03%) Minimum vote limit: 15 votes |

Listen and Deep Breath.
Husbands... needs to stay in, because River (I also enjoyed the episode itself as well for the most part) Oh and Last Christmas for the tiebreaker. But I'm expecting it will be Into The Dalek to leave This post has been edited by Jaspine Thompson: Feb 23 2016, 05:50 PM |
