Since we're basing on the last year up to now, I'm voting for Eastenders. I'm an absolute loon for the soap and it's been great all of this year, but Emmerdale has been on top form. It's got a great balance of comedy and drama and the right doses too - the comedy is used where it should and is actually funny, whilst the drama is gripping without being sensational; it remains grounded and about relationships between friends and family. Even the two affair storylines that aren't among the show's high points right now are still interesting to watch to certain degrees.
