A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly

First to drop out in the top 5 is The Twits. The ghastly lead characters of the story were developed as part of Dahl's hatred of beards (:')) and they become the characters that everyone loves to hate as they live their lives performing nasty tricks and being wicked to everyone around them. The conclusion of the story is one that is always vivid in my mind and I can remember reading it and imagining actually turning my own living room upside down and it's the wondrous ability of Dahl to create these bizarre scenarios and to paint them so vividly that they are remembered for years after reading. The story is hilarious and witty and a deserved top 5 placing here.

Deadline: Friday 4th February

I'm ashamed to say that I never realized Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda were both from Ronald unsure.gif
