I wear glasses, but they're only for reading so they don't bother me too much!

Contacts. Lost my glasses. Worn contacts for like 7 odd years now. They were reaally hard for first few weeks to get in, would take me like half an hour to do it, now I take them out or put them in in like seconds. And for the first year or so if I didn't wear them for a while it would then take a while to get them back IN.

But they're really easy and you're not touching your eye, and even when you do you get so used to it that eh.

Wanting surgery. I was gonna do that price comparison one as apparently some you can get for £8 a month but you have to be in the country for them to call you.

I had a trial for contacts but haven't went back to them. I haven't chosen not to, just never got round to going back to the opticians to buy some!

I was worried about touching my eyes but eventually I got used to it and was relatively easy to get them in and out (even though I looked like I'd cried for 10 hours afterwards)! laugh.gif

Wear glasses occasionally, only really for school (when all the writing is on the interactive whiteboard etc) and watching tv!

This kind of thread keeps re-appearing every once in a little bit heehee.gif

Like you James, I wear glasses and have thought about getting contacts but I just really don't like the thought of putting them in my eyes and having them in there, as well as taking them out. Plus I'm just starting to feel better about wearing glasses and the way I look with them, so I guess I can't really see myself ever trying contact lenses. It could obviously change in the future though.

Don't be puss_puss_01s. Lenses are sooo easy once you get used to them and well worth it.

I have never needed glasses or contact lenses, my eyes have always been very strong, which is odd seeing as that's definitely never been the case throughout my family (and with my younger brother and sister too!).

Glasses and contacts. I don't particularly like wearing either, but I have a nice pair and always wear contacts on nights out/formal occasions etc.

Lots of people seem to need at least some form of glasses it seems, we all have shit vision. A couple of years ago, I decided that glasses just look better on me than off so I've barely taken my pair off since (although I am due for a trip to the opticians).

The contact situation is down to two reasons, am too lazy to get sets and have to constantly put them in and out and past experience took me forever and while I know it'd get better I don't have a good enough reason to change now I've decided that I like glasses anyway.

Wear contacts & glasses. Had glasses for 12 years & contacts for 10 - would recommend dailies over monthlies (price if slightly higher but less hassle having to "maintain them" for 4+ weeks.

I used to wear glasses up until a few years ago but I absolutely hated it drama.gif So I got contact lenses and while it took a bit to warm to them, they're fine now.

I wear glasses and have done for about 3 years now. I resisted it for a long time (and my eyes aren't THAT bad when all said and one) but it was learning to drive which prompted me to make it a permanent thing. There is no way I can drive a car without wearing glasses, so may as well make it a full-time thing.

I actually really like my glasses and think I look odd without them now.

Let's see who else we can get with that.

I always liked the irony that I advertise my eyes despite not having perfect vision.

I may be a "puss_puss_01" or whatever (mellow.gif) and it would probably be just fine should I ever try them, but maybe it's a subconscious thing from the time I saw my cousin share a picture of her eye after she had had to go searching for her contact lens in her eye with her fingers and it was not a pleasant sight, what with all the blood smile.gif Also, my mum has an issue that she is often unable to take them out herself, especially one eye I think. So she often has to ask someone else to do it for her. I have yet to be asked, thank goodness, as I have a bit of a thing with eyes in general. *shivers*

I don't mean to scare people off or anything, because these things are probably quite rare, especially if you're really careful with it.
