The season is reaching it's final stages and everything is heating up. The Player of the Year is announced in late April, but who should be on the shortlist of five? Mine would be...

Jamie Vardy
Riyad Mahrez (winner)
Delle Alli
Dimitri Payet
Romelu Lukaku

I think either Alli or Lukaku will win the Young Player of the Year. What does everyone else think?

That looks a pretty accurate list. Perhaps Ozil & Kante could be surprise inclusions?

Ozil was great in the autumn, but I think Arsenal's annual collapse will count against him. laugh.gif

Can't have been many goalkeepers nominated down the years...

My Shortlist:

Jamie Vardy
Riyad Mahrez
Dimitri Payet
Romelu Lukaku
Jack Butland

I would give the award to Riyad Mahrez, he's been the top player in Fantasy Premier League for almost the whole season but has astonishingly never won the player of the month!

Young player of the year would be Romelu Lukaku or Dele Ali.

PFA team of the year:

De Gea

Rose
Alderweireld
Morgan
Bellerín

Payet
Kante
Alli
Mahrez

Kane
Vardy

Agree with this? Surprising to see Ozil not on the team despite featuring in the shortlist for player of the season outright.

What's even more surprising is that Sergio Aguero has never been nominated for PFA Player Of The Year or Team Of The Year.

Fully well deserved people to win, Mahrez and Alli. I agree with both.
