Last year, there was a birthday special chart for Cody Christian's 20th birthday... and it was a success. So this year, we're doing it again!

Let's kick things off!

http://s.mxmcdn.net/images-storage/albums/7/4/0/6/5/0/32056047_500_500.jpg

50.) Pixel Fix - "You Settle Me"

Non-album single

Chart Run: 42-28-22-22-20-22-23-25-34-50...

Kicking things off we have the biggest dropper this week, down 17 spots this week is Oxford band Pixel Fix with "You Settle Me". They've got a cool sound, almost like Years & Years. In February, they competed in the Buzzjack Song Contest where they sadly failed to qualify. It's kind of a shame, because these guys are crazy talented. What do you think?

This is a good tune :music:

Will try and keep commenting on this :D

49.) Dillon Francis & Kygo f/James Hersey - "Coming Over"

2nd single, This Mixtape Is Fire EP

Chart Run: 50-49-49...

We have the latest big DJ Kygo teaming up with trap extraordinaire Dillon Francis in this chill track, "Coming Over". It kinda sounds like something you would hear at Coachella. Following a single announcement and release of remixes for this song, we got a snazzy video. I know I'm thinking about coming over.

48.) Drake f/WizKid & Kyla - "One Dance"

2nd single, Views From The 6

Chart Run: 48...

Our first debut comes from Drake's latest single, "One Dance", which has already topped the UK following a surprise release two weeks prior. This became Drake's first #1 single in the UK as a lead artist, and I'm not surprised. So congrats to Drake for this achievement.

47.) Desiigner - "Panda"

Non-album single

Chart Run: 47... (1 week)

Now here comes... another debut. This Future-sounding artist has really skyrocketed up the charts due to high streaming, exposure from music videos, and a really sick beat. We're talking about upcoming rapper Desiigner, who has already reached the top 5 in the Billboard Hot 100. Here he is right now with the latest rap sensation, "Panda".

46.) Grimes - "Kill v. Maim"

2nd single, Art Angels

Chart Run: 50-46... (2 weeks)

Grimes made her chart debut last year with this killer track. Previously she gained tons of popularity among pop blogs and those hipster people who only like artists who aren't smashing the charts. We hope she does enter Billboard (or any international chart for that matter), because her discography is stellar.

45.) Andra Day - "Rise Up"

Lead single, Cheers To The Fall

Chart Run: 45... (1 week)

"Rise Up" began to gain popularity following new singer Andra Day's performance at the Grammy Awards with Ellie Goulding. Since then, this Grammy nominated artist for Best New Artist began booking more opportunities to share this powerful ballad with the world, including a guest performance slot in Dancing With The Stars, performing with Jodie Sweetin and Keo Motsepe. This song has also appeared in an episode of The Blacklist.

Slay Pixel Fix (Even though its its last week :kink: :()

Drake entering Yas Drake :cheer:

44.) Kiiara - "Gold"

Non-album single

Chart Run: 44... (1 week)

Kiiara's debut single began its course through appearing on Apple Watch commercials. She began charting in Australia where she reached great heights, and now this major label release of hers is beginning to make its course into the US. Will it smash? Maybe... without ever letting you know.

Chart Contender Of The Week #1: Alesso f/Nico & Vinz - "I Wanna Know"

Both artist have had previous charting singles to their name ("Under Control", 'Heroes (We Could Be)" and "Cool" for Alesso and "Am I Wrong" and "Rivers" for Nico & Vinz), but can this star-studded collab get them to chart together? It's a relatively new more pop sound for Alesso, so maybe that could play in their favor.

43.) Nicole Millar - "Tremble"

Non-album single

Chart Run: 48-48-43... (3 weeks)

This song by Aussie vocalist Nicole Millar is also relatively new, but she isn't - she previously featured in Peking Duk's "High", which was a giant dance hit back down under. Taking inspiration from the tribal trap sounds of "Where Are U Now", this is likely to drive up the charts, but "Can it?" is the question.

42.) Era Istrefi - "Bonbon"

Non-album single

Chart Run: 47-47-42... (3 weeks)

This song is known to be a cult classic due to an Instagram photo of a video screencap of this song surfacing around the web, describing the Albanian beauty as a "mix of Rihanna and Sia". The Rihanna influences are very explicit here, as this shares a lot of the urban flavor found in most of the Barbadian's discography. This is the first song in Albanian to chart.

41.) Years & Years f/Tove Lo - "Desire"

Lead single, Communion

Chart Run: 49-45-45-41... (4 weeks)

The lead single to the group's debut album, Communion, was recently rereleased following their international debut last year, only this time, this already spectacular single features Swedish singer Tove Lo, who made waves with singles such as "Habits (Stay High)" and "Talking Body", the latter being one of the biggest hits last year. Tove Lo appears again later on in this chart.

40.) Robin Schulz f/J.U.D.G.E - "Show Me Love"

3rd single, Sugar

Chart Run: 39-33-31-27-21-20-18-15-17-17-25-40... (12 weeks)

We have Robin Schulz's previous single right here, which is a bit more emotional than a lot of his discography which sounds more feel good. This features vocalist J.U.D.G.E. and smashed right out of the gate back in his home country of Germany.

39.) Alessia Cara - "Wild Things"

2nd single, Know-It-All

Chart Run: 48-45-42-42-39... (5 weeks)

To me, where the wild things are is a place that exists in our minds. It's a place of liberty and shamelessness. It can take a split second in our lifetime to find it, but once you do, you feel free.
That is what Alessia Cara had to say about her latest single, "Wild Things". It's an anthem for those who felt like they didn't fit in, and it references the literary classic "Where The Wild Things Are". Someone take me there.

C: All the wild things are in Beacon Hills.

W: Maybe.

38.) Cash Cash f/Jacquie Lee - "Aftershock"

Non-album single

Chart Run: 47-40-38-38... (4 weeks)

Cash Cash have been cranking out monster hit after monster hit, and this return to progressive house, featuring the Voice alum Jacquie Lee, is no exception. They're good at making club hits that make anyone dance in their room. What is it going to take to give them another hit? Who knows.
