it's nice that she made it to her 90th birthday I guess, not that I'm a huge fan of the queen/royals.

I always find it weird from a foreign point of view that you UK people don't have the day off on the Queen,s Birthday. Next week on the 27th when our King celebrates his birthday everyone over here have the day off as it is a day of national celebration.

the Queen here has two birthdays, today is her actual birthday as in she was born on this day, but she also has a birthday celebration in June (I think this tradition came from the fact we have better weather then?? unsure.gif ) where there will be street parties etc biggrin.gif

90 is a milestone and ripe old age, very well done to a woman who's spent a lifetime making her office worthwhile.

The Queen is exactly two weeks younger than my grandad *.* HB Lizzy and all, still someone I really admire, even with my views on the monarchy (just realised her birthday is the day after Hitler's mellow.gif )

This pretty much.

Also, it makes me feel old, I remember her 70th when I was in year 3!

Happy birthday Ma'am.

First monarch of ours to actually reach this milestone. There have been consorts (Queen Mother and Prince Philip), so she is making history.
