Kelly Clarkson's Official Top 10 biggest songs revealed
23 April 2016 By Justin Myers This weekend sees Kelly Clarkson celebrate her 34th birthday. Since winning American Idol back in 2002 when she was a mere 20 years old, Clarko has enjoyed hits all over the world, becoming one of the most successful talent TV stars ever! Since her first UK hit Miss Independent reached Number 6 in 2003, Kelly has scored 16 Top 40s here, including nine Top 10s and, of course, a Number 1 single in the shape of My Life Would Suck Without You. But which one is the biggest of them all? We've crunched the numbers and dived into the archive to count up all the sales and stream and the results are pretty interesting… You might be forgiven for thinking Kelly's sole chart-topper My Life Would Suck Without You would also be her biggest song, but we have to break it to you that the honour goes to another song entirely! Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) may have only peaked at Number 8, but thanks to some pretty consistent downloading, along with a 16-week tenure in the Top 40, it finishes out in front with over 546,000 combined chart sales to its name. Her biggest ballad of them all is tearjerker Because Of You, which didn't even make the Top 5 on release – settling for Number 7 – but has a combined sales and streams tally of over 430,000. My Life Would Suck Without You final,y gets time to shine, in third place, with over 423,000 chart sales under its belt. The track that really made the world sit up and take notice is up in fourth – Kelly's first Top 5 Since U Been Gone has 400,000 chart sales. It may have only come out in 2015, but Heartbeat Song has already muscled its way up-up-up-up to Number 5 on Kelly's all-time chart – 362,000 on the score card for that one. A few classics miss the Top 10, most notably I Do Not Hook Up, which lands at 11, and the 2007 Top 10 hit Never Again (12). Check out the full rundown: SONG PEAK YEAR 1 STRONGER (WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU) 8 2012 546,000 2 BECAUSE OF YOU 7 2005 430,000 3 MY LIFE WOULD SUCK WITHOUT YOU 1 2009 423,000 4 SINCE U BEEN GONE 5 2005 400,000 5 HEARTBEAT SONG 7 2015 362,000 6 MR KNOW IT ALL 4 2011 300,000+ 7 BEHIND THESE HAZEL EYES 9 2005 8 BREAKAWAY 22 2006 9 SECOND HAND HEART 21 2015 140,000+ 10 MISS INDEPENDENT 6 2003 11 I DO NOT HOOK UP 36 2009 12 NEVER AGAIN 12 9 2007 ©2016 Official Charts Company . I love that he did 'up-up-up-up' when referring to Heartbeat song
Stronger did extremely well considering she did barely any promo for it, radio is very kind to her over here |

Second Hand Heart is the song with the X Factor winner isn't it? Crazy that a #21 song where she's the feature is in her top 10 biggest sellers - especially for an artist with a relatively long career. She must not get many trickle sales.

Stronger is my favourite single by her so im glad its her best seller, i didnt think it was though. Its a shame she is yet to have a platinum selling single as she has had some great singles.

She just released her bigger singles in the lowest sales climate in the UK. |

No real surprises there, at least not near the top anyway. Secondhand Heart being top 10 is a little depressing given it was a birrofaflop but then she's never been THAT big here.

'Already Gone' really should be top 5 in this! One of the biggest chart injustices for me.

Already Gone should have been a 9 week (at least) chart topping million seller. And it was, in an alternate universe.

Secondhand Heart being top 10 is a little depressing given it was a birrofaflop but then she's never been THAT big here. Were you not a fan during the Breakaway era? Her popularity here was insane. She led the pop-rock sound and every song in a similar vein was compared to her. |
