Look at your Buzzjack join date. Google it if you can be bothered also! Does anything stick out to you? Were there any significant (or even insignificant) events, either in your own life or in the world?

I joined on the 26th of September 2008. This was actually the birthday of someone in my life who passed away three months later. It's also James Blake's birthday, one of my favourite musicians right now music.gif I had just started my final year of secondary school and was always carrying a camera around (which is still the case).

Google tells me it was a Friday and itís the European Day of Languages. A Portuguese shipwreck dating back to the 1500ís was found on this date on a Namibian diamond mine ;o Also, Swiss pilot Yves Rossy became the first person to fly a jet engine-powered wing across the English Channel. Well there you go!

Curious to see whoíll have the most interesting story ohmy.gif

Mine is October 24th 2007. I don't think anything significant has happened for me on that date, or in that year. A quick look on Wikipedia tells me that it was the day the UN was founded in 1945 and in 2003 it was the day of the last flight of the Concorde. Swings and roundabouts really!

20th June 2014 (nearly 2 years here omfg)

Well I joined up after being a UKMix member for a year or so and finding out that they were getting most of the sales info from here. I don't :arrr:think much else was happening in my personal life at that time until a month later when my gran died but does anyone know anything in the real world that happened on that day because google and Wikipedia isn't really saying much laugh.gif

Nothing significant for 2009 that I can see but 15th April was the date of the Hillsborough disaster in 1989 and the Boston marathon bombings in 2013 mellow.gif Also the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.

In less bleak news, Maisie Williams, Emma Watson, Matt Cardle and Eliza Doolittle are amongst those with a birthday on 15th April (also the join date of Qass)

Just realised everyone carries their phone around (which has a camera) so this isn't really significant lol. I do take more pics on my phone than my 'actual' camera these days.. Back then I carried around this huge thing tho

February 3rd, 2011. Nothing major in my life aside from prioritising school work because I didn't come back regularly for two months.

Eventswise, the first woman to pilot the Space Shuttle does so, the 'wind of change' blows through Africa in the 60s, the lowest temperature in America is recorded in the 40s, the territory of Illinois and the independence of the Greek state is affirmed in the 19th century, and back in 1637, the Dutch give up tulipmania, where merchants were charging extortionate prices for tulip bulbs, diseases know why.

(and there's Sean Kingston and Getter Jaani getting born which, well, the former is... Sean Kingston, and the latter one's for Ryan when he reads this thread)

Birthday's on July 3rd would be Fontella Bass (died in 2012) & Elle King.

The first savings bank opened in the US in 1819.
William the Conqueror becomes Duke of Normandy In 1035.

Nothing notable going on in my life aside from going on a school trip to Barnham with a nursery.

Also Jonjo's birthday too happy.gif

January 18th 2011! I signed up to BJ (on the same day as Ethan) as a nooby lil 13 year old. I would've been in year 9 at the time I believe, so life was okay at this point iirc and not too difficult school-wise.

Kevin Costner, Betsy Blue-English, Becca Tobin, Sam Strike, Estelle and Mumzy Stranger (from Preeya - Shimmy fame *.*) have a Jan 18th birthday. In the world, Bentley Motors was founded in 1919 and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day was officially observed for the first time in all 50 states in 1993.

Cory Montieth (Finn from Glee) died on the day I joined. I remember still trying to find my way around the site and that thread was how I found the artist forums. As far as personal life I'd just finished uni and was excited to finally have free time to post things instead of just lurking like I had done for the past three years.

25th July

The birth date of wrestler Finn Balor, actor Matt LeBlanc, driver Nelson Piquet Jr, footballer Anthony Stokes etc.

The UK #1 on the day I joined (as mentioned before in a different thread about this exact topic) was The Wanted's "Glad You Came". Fitting, I know.

25 July in history - Wyoming became a US territory, and the paper collar was invented. And of course, July 25th is just three days before the most iconic moment in BJSC history.

11th July 2009. I remember it quite well, I'd just finished my GCSEs and was on a long summer break before starting college and just about to go to the United States and finally signed up to...play chart games. I didn't start posting properly until a good few months later.

Random historical events: United States take Detroit from Great Britain (1796), The opening of Waterloo railway station in London (1848), Battle of Fort Stevens in the American Civil War (1864), founding of Tijuana, Mexico (1889), The opening of Hollywood Bowl (1922), To Kill a Mockingbird first published (1960), First transatlantic satellite television transmission (1962), Martin Luther King Jr. posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom (1977) and discovery of Pluto's fifth moon ;o (2012)

Cascada's Evacuate The Dancefloor was number 1 as well (:/ was that the week they beat MJ there? ugh)

Only significant thing personally that I can think of was that it was my mother's birthday.

Been here 10 years, where did the time go?
