I've always used Blue pens to write, unless I have to write a form stating to write in Black ink

I find fine blue pens are much neater to write in, not putting other colours in the poll, writing in red or green is awful and its not common practice unless its necessary.

Blue, and it was also the colour I seemed to have in my possession the most, although if ever there was a required colour it was black laugh.gif

or this tbh kink.gif or even green when I had that four in one pen. Colour coding different parts of my work made it look easier to read imo tongue.gif

I do like black ink as it's quite tidy and it's normally what I have... but you might notice I tend to have a love for a blue colour scheme. I can't be made to choose on such an important issue.

I'm not too fussed either way but I tend to prefer black - I have a pen I'm LOVING right now, the end result is great and (no word of a lie) I've received many comments saying how nice my handwriting (usually horrid) looks.

Pretty much. Black is formal, tidy and professional whereas Blue stands out and lightens things up without going overboard.

I use black primarily for writing, blue on occasion (more of a "hey, it's there" kind of thing) or when required, and red for corrections and more editorial stuff (mostly for music-related things).

I also used a flowery purple pen once. It was a very strange experience.
