What is your favourite year of the iTunes chart? my favourite year for the iTunes chart was 2012 because of there being many new releases each week and a lot of big name releases in particular. Also most songs had to climb from the bottom of the chart upwards because pre-orders went into the iTunes Album Chart for most singles so it made the chart feel very competitive.

Shit I tried to include a poll of different years from 2003-2016 but it didn't work.

Shit I tried to include a poll of different years from 2003-2016 but it didn't work. For future, click to add a second poll but don't type anything in that second poll so you have your poll with what you want and then a 2nd blank poll, that should work! I have no clue why but the same thing always used to happen to me! |

I love how pre-ordered songs always used to shoot to the top, something that we don't see no more unfortunately.

2009. May in particular was amazing with Agnes' Release Me going to #1 on iTunes and Alexander Rybak's Fairytale shocking everyone by going top five.
Plus iTunes had such a more notably major impact on the chart as physicals continued to die at a quick rate. So following iTunes was the first indication of where the big hits were coming from next. |
