This year we've seen two female comedy legends in Victoria Wood and Caroline Aherne pass away.

Who would say is your favourite female comedians from past and present and why?

Victoria Wood. She had such an eye for detail and colloquialisms. Julie Walters performing Victoria's writing was a remarkable thing.

Of the present I'd say Amy Schumer, Amy Poehler and Mindy Kaling.

To give a British example, I really liked the Catherine Tate show. I can't say I'm big on Miranda (or at least her show)

Catherine Tate is brilliant too, I really wish she had kept her sketch show going for at least a series or two more, it was genius!

I love the new generation - Sarah Pascoe, Rosin Conaty, Katherine Ryan, Sarah Millican.

Sarah is naturally brilliant. She is great on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
