After being inspired by a recent thread, what would you say were your favourite cartoons or T.V programmes as a kid?

Some of mine were:

Ed, Edd, N Eddy (my absolute favourite, I think I could still watch this today and find it just as entertaining)

Dexter's Laboratory

Dragonball Z

Cow and Chicken

Johnny Bravo

Kenan and Kel (probably my favourite non-cartoon children's programme)

I was obsessed with Cartoon Network when I was younger and my absolute favourites on that channel were The PowerPuff Girls and Codename: Kids Next Door wub.gif I was SO hyped for VBirds but then that never happened sad.gif

Totally Spies, Fairly Odd Parents and SpongeBob Squarepants were a few other fave cartoons.

I was also obsessed with Hannah Montana and Tracy Beaker for non-cartoon shows. Also there was a show called Clutter Nutters that I loved if anyone remembers that lmao.

Spngebob. Batman. Justice League. Legion Of Super heroes. Oh, as a KID?

In that case, stuff no-one will have heard of, like Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, The Flintstones, Top Cat, Wacky Races, Road Runner. laugh.gif

I've heard of these and I used to watch them all the time as well. Those are timeless cartoons that people of all generations would have watched at some point.

I was hoping that was the case so yay Hazza! yahoo.gif

(There were some less good ones I'm fond of too, like Snagglepuss and other Hannah Barbera thingies like Scooby Doo and the forgotten Help It's The Hair Bear Bunch!)

don't usually go for kids cartoons but I recently watched Avatar: The Last Airbender which was great in nearly every episode. often it doesn't feel like it's exclusively made for children at all, though naturally there are some bits that clearly pander to the younger audience it's not off-putting.

as for when I *was* a child, I loved the Pokemon series.

Anyone who mentions Avatar/Pokemon/Dragonball in this thread is *this* close to stepping into the anime world. kink.gif Or perhaps not but it's fun seeing other people mention those as part of regularly known pop culture.

Ironically then, I didn't watch many of those sorts of cartoons when I was younger (although I did love what little I saw of the likes of those and Codename:Kids/Dexter's etc), it was more of the live-action things I remember watching: Raven or Basil Brush are two I remember as being big ones.

Oh, and there was this one aimed at girls but less girly than previous incarnations kids show about pastel-coloured horses I got into a while back...

Pokemon always laugh.gif Still watch it, I don't catch up with the new series as often as I should but I still tend to watch loads of old episodes. As well as the original series obviously, I love the DP arc too and Iris is my favourite companion ever (soz Misty) so BW was good too. Other cartoons I loved included Johnny Test, Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends, Powerpuff Girls, Spongebob, Rugrats and Arthur. I still watch Spongebob, Rugrats and Arthur sometimes!

Live action was all about Disney - Hannah Montana, Wizards Of Waverley Place, Suite Life, That's So Raven and Sonny With A Chance (before Demi left and it became just So Random, ew) <3

ooh i forgot anime. I also loved Marine Boy in the 60's, early anime fave. He had oxygum to breathe underwater and was a sort of superhero. He had a mermaid girlfriend and a dolphin, Splasher. Ah happy days.

forgot to say that world's end (CBBC) was brilliant.

i hope they make a new series, though it's doubtful as the story has run it's course- they could make something new up, i guess
