It's this time of year that I really like visiting coffee houses, not for coffee or tea in this case, but mainly for the various Frappes and fruit coolers on offer (and the coffee/tea is nice as well ofc.) wub.gif I love various drinks from all of these coffee chains, but can never decide which is best so thought I'd open this extremely pressing discussion up to the forum~

Slightly UK-centric poll here, but if you have any coffee houses that aren't on the list, feel free to state them!

Go ahead and spill the tea (literally in this case)~

All are overpriced shit

I'm happy with Warrens offer of a cake and a hotchoc for £2 (which they don't do any more sadly)

(Warrens is a popular pasty shop down here btw)

Starbucks is my favourite, but only really because I can get a marmite and cheese toastie whilst I'm there too, not due to the range of beverages laugh.gif

However, in my town we only have one Starbucks at the train station whereas we have two Costa shops on the High Street as well as a Costa at my college too so that ends up being the one I go to.

Any iced coffee with a flavoured syrup would be my choice during the summer weather, hazelnut being my favourite I think. Saying that, McDonalds have a pretty great honeycomb flavoured iced coffee at the moment which I've been enjoying whenever I go to the cinema (often laugh.gif)

Costa is pretty awful but the rest are fine by me. I prefer independent shops if I can find one, then Caffé Nero, then Starbucks.

You can buy more than just coffee in these stores though! ohmy.gif Srsly, their cooler drinks>>>

I'd say my favourite's Costa as I just can't really resist those fruit coolers wub.gif plus it's my local sooo, though I do probably prefer the milkshakes from Caffé Nero from the few times I've been there (I didn't know that was spelt with two fs until now mellow.gif)

Costa is the best out of them but I only really go there at Christmas for their Christmas coffee's. I work in a coffee shop when I'm not at Uni so I get all my coffee for free there laugh.gif

The mint creamy drinks from Nero >>

I love their coffee cake too. Tropical fruit cooler in Costa is also a winner.

Do Starbucks the least and actually go to Pret the most but for sandwiches more than anything.

I go to Costa. I believe that's the only one out of the choices that is in my town. I'm not too fussy with these things though.

I guess Costa out of those listed, they have some good drinks and I enjoy their latte/mocha quite well but I prefer to go to something that isn't one of those three (particularly not Starbucks) if it's available, if I ever go to a coffee shop even, I haven't made a habit of it because it's expensive.

(And as much as I'd like to be a whole hipster over coffee, I'm okay with instant homebrews even if it is objectively inferior)
