cry.gif 1960s Top 40 Rate - The 'Impossible' Part 9 cry.gif

Numbers 33 and 37s

While there were several different UK singles charts during the 1960s (with the NME weekly chart being the most widely followed), the Guinness Book Of Hit Singles and, subsequently, the Official Charts Company use the Record Retailer chart as their reference during this period, so that's the one we'll be using here. The 'Official' Singles Charts, as we know it, didn't begin until February 1969.

These series of rates will cover March 1960 (when the chart expanded to a Top 40 for the first time) to December 1969.

Due to the relatively obscure nature of the tracks below you can vote as follows:

Fab top 6. Billie Davis I recently charted, and almost used as a BJSC entry it sounds so fresh, in a Duffy template sort of way.

Wahey! Two excellent and very different additions to the Top 40! Really pleased there's some 60s psychedelia in there and 96 Tears is a brilliant record.
