2014 wins both for me, Real Love is such a gorgeous song and Monty is cute beyond belief, that will never fail to tug on my heartstrings wub.gif cry.gif

I've really liked them all from Ellie onwards though, so really excited to hear this year's song (and see the advert)

Gabrielle Aplin - 'The Power Of Love' is definitely my favourite cover to come out of these adverts. But my favourite advert itself was the Monty The Penguin one. So adorable wub.gif

The Power Of Love by far for me song wise wub.gif The adverts are possibly one of the most overrated things about the festive season though :/

They'll hide the track from view probably if it's on there. They usually announce the missing track in line with the advert premiering.

Anyway, my favourite is Monty by far, and my favourite track is a tie between Real Love, Your Song and Somewhere Only We Know. Most of them are gorgeous though.

2013 wins, both advert and song.

Also liked the 2012 and 2014 adverts and the 2010 and 2012 songs.

Gabrielle's Power of Love cover wins the song category easily

In terms of the ads, 2014 had penguins so that's probably the best one

Monty forever heart.gif

None of the songs are exactly huge favourites of mine tbh but I've gone for Lily Allen, close between that and Taken By Trees (which I think I voted for the last time we had one of these polls).

I mean they'll all pretty terrible in truth & so overhyped.

Having said that I'd probably say my "fave" song is Gabrielle Aplin in being the least terrible (haven't even heard the first 3 mind I had no idea they went that far back).

For the ad, I s'pose 2013 was alright. Actually no, last's year one just for how ludicrous it was laugh.gif

I prefer Aldi's Christmas ad for 2015 ripping into John Lewis

The new adverts just feel quite calculated these days to tug on your emotions as they know it gets them so much publicity especially The Bear & The Hare. That said, The Journey and The Long Wait are lovely. Songwise, they vary from unneeded/uninspired to actually great, The Power of Love and Sweet Child O'Mine are excellent covers (the former if just cos it reminds me of Christmas <3)

G'won Aldi!

The Sainsbury's ad from 2 years ago trumps any of the JL ones too IMO:

The Power Of Love is my favourite advert song, but my favourite advert would be Monty The Penguin.

When do we hear about this years one? Must be today or tomorrow when it's premiered?
