Probably age 8 or around there. I first figured out that elves didn't exist cos they used to leave my sister and me goodies and biscuits on the window sill and one day I noticed that the biscuits were always the same ones as the ones my grandmother had in her cupboard. I asked her about it and her face was just like "omg what do I do what do I say" lol

About 8 or 9 I think, when I overheard my grandma telling my dad to be quiet or I'll find out santa's not real while I was in bed but not asleep!!!

I would say probably about age 10, which sounds quite old as I assume most people's answers will be a single-figure age tongue.gif I had doubts but just really wanted to believe he was real so bad that I ignored my doubts for a while. I was sometimes tempted to Google it but wanted to keep believing so badly that I didn't laugh.gif Then I finally just accepted that it was all a lil bit silly and that he wasn't real x

I actually can't remember how old I was, I don't have a particularly interesting story either! laugh.gif I think I just worked it out one day, asked my mum and she told me the truth but told me to hide it from my brother a bit longer laugh.gif

I think it was soon after my tenth birthday (my birthday is 23rd December) but I think I had figured it out beore then. Took my sister until she was in high school though.

(I think it was an argument like 'If the elves build the presents then they could get me a pack of Match Attax with the EXACT cards I want in it!')

Age 9-10 I'd guess! My sister caught my dad in the act being the Tooth Fairy so she was told about Santa then too and decided to spoil it for me, how selfish x

another thing - were most of you told about the truth behind the tooth fairy and santa at (about) the same time? I know I was.

my brother also had to be told that the Easter Bunny wasn't real, but I never believed in that.

Don't think I ever believed in the tooth fairy. When my teeth fell out, all I got was a bloody mouth.

Easter Bunny also was never part of my belief system.

dont recall ever believing in Santa - I was aware from at least 6 that mum and dad bought christmas presents, and that the old bloke in a red suit in the London superstore wasn't a magical fantasy present giver, he was a man in a red suit. ohmy.gif

I believed in the tooth fairy as a really young girl but stopped believing quite a bit before Santa.

I was never fooled into believing in the Easter bunny though laugh.gif

Around 8-9 I think, after seeing my Dad sort of in the doorway (though not caught in the act haha) one Christmas eve I discussed my doubts with friends at primary school and we concluded together that he wasn't real. laugh.gif

I don't recall when I stopped believing in Santa at all but I seem to remember being a bit peeved that the Tooth Fairy never left me as much money as she left my friends.

Around 9 I think, my friend told me and I REFUSED TO BELIEVE HIM until my mum confirmed lol, I then told my sister who was like 6 as this news was clearly too juicy to keep to myself, she's hated me ever since </3

Tooth Fairy and the where the 'food for the reindeer' went on Christmas Eve was a gradual realisation after that.

I don't recall being in the loop of any Easter bunny laugh.gif

The tooth fairy though, I'm not sure when I stopped believing but probably around the same time as Santa.

Aged 9-10 for Santa!

I can't remember when I stopped believing in the tooth fairy. I got £1 for each tooth (I think all of my baby teeth pre-dated £2 coins, lol)... I'm reading online that some kids get left £5-£10 notes per tooth these days!

I think age 10 was the last Christmas I believed in Santa. It was a year or two before that my cousin said she noticed Santa and her parents used the same wrapping paper, but I didn't listen to her. Eventually I worked out on my own that he'd never make it to every house in the world in one night.
