Lawson's leading man has confirmed in this video that they are, as was previously mentioned on here, taking an extended hiatus, and he is recording his first solo album.

He's advised it'll be taking a more acoustic, country-ish direction. A demo of a new song, "If I'd Known" is up on his Facebook now and is really rather beautiful: https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fb...699160227070304

Loved Lawson so eager to hear this - I'm sure it won't bother the charts but it's good we will get new music.

So excited for this but sad Lawson are basically over.

I don't think that Decca is the right home for him - they tend to do poorly with 'pop' stars as Kimberley Walsh, Joe McElderry, Lucie Silvas etc., found out. Either way I'm looking forward to hear new music from him.
