I started at 6 and by 9 I was finishing putting the delivery away in the stock room and then someone we work with came in with a hammer, handed I'm his notice and then smashed 6 menu screens, 3 till screens and two of the k..i..t..c..h..e..n screens and through the three bun toasters on the floor. Needless to to say we were all shook up!

Somebody got out the wrong side of the bed this morning, his medication needs changing. Seriously though glad no one was hurt. It must be annoying to see all the mess

Yeah well the place is closed for the day. One of our colleagues found out he was at her sons house so she went down and he decided to hand himself in. The police were called and we all had to give a statement but yeah it was terrifying. In the end we found out he got a taxi from his home to work with a hammer and told the taxi driver that he was going to smash the place up and the taxi driver still brought him to work lol;

Hope they prosecute him as it's criminal damage and he deserves punishing. A hefty fine or community service should sort the idiot out.

I was getting chills just reading it so I can't imagine how much stress you were in just witnessing it firsthand! The most important thing is that you're safe heart.gif

That sounds terryfying. Still, as long as nobody was hurt, it's not too bad. Try not to think too much about it.

I got paid for my full shift as did everyone else but they didn't open the shop and they had to send everyone home. The guy handed himself in to the police after they came to work so he's got court tomorrow. It was terrifying though.

Wow, how dramatic and terrifying! Glad you and the rest of the staff are all ok.
The most exciting my workplace gets is when someone sends an e-mail to all recipients by accident, or the office dog starts barking uncontrollably at a customer.

I guess maybe the taxi driver feared for his safety if he didn't.

That crossed my mind as well but when he got to the resteraunt I heard the taxi pull up outside the stock room door and I heard it leave after he left. I just didn't know that it was a taxi until we were told about the taxi in the first place laugh.gif You would think he would have just left without the taxi money.
