Do you like them or hate them or have you never tried them?

I don't mind them but the stones are annoying. Xmas years ago when I was young wasn't the same without a box of sticky dates. biggrin.gif

I'm not a fan. They're very weird things which I feel shouldn't exist but do for some reason.

I thought the poll was going to be about whether or not you've ever been on a date / if you like them, somewhat inspired by the dating thread magic.gif

But yeah, I quite like dates. I thought I had some in my house right now but I looked for them just now and couldn't find, maybe they're all gone. I'm dateless biggrin.gif

I have had them before but they're simply ok. Other members of the raisin family are preferrable.

Never had them before but they look horrible so no intention of trying them any time soon!

(expected this to be a different kind of 'dates' thread)

They're actually rather nice, sweet and sticky. Try some if you've never had them. They're a fruit actually.

Only with the older generations I think. Can't see many younger people buying them for a snack. Wife says her employers' 11 year-old daughter loves them though.

They aren't the worst thing in the world. If you've ever had a fig roll the filling tastes similar.

My mum used to buy and eat them all the time, she loved them. I'd always decline the offer if she asked if I wanted one.

Perhaps I should give them a chance though because I love a fig roll.
