Lily Allen - Somewhere Only We Know

^this sounds particularly great around Christmas time! especially that instrumental middle eight wub.gif

Steeleye Span - All Around My Hat

^my mum was convinced that this was a Christmas number one laugh.gif I told her she was wrong but we still have it on the playlist every Christmas as it has that Christmassy feel to it. wink.gif

Of course for the general public at large there are 'Stay Another Day' and 'The Power Of Love' neither of which directly reference Christmas.

Snow Patrol feat Martha Wainwright - Set Fire To The Third Bar (just sounds so Christmassy)

S Club 7 - Never Had A Dream Come True (the video, time of year it was released and general feel of it)

Tori Amos - Winter

Michael Andrews & Gary Jules - Mad World (Xmas #1...always reminds me of the season)

Westlife - I Have A Dream (Xmas bells...would this song really have had the same production if released in the summer? I think not)

Funny how this thread popped up today cos I was introduced to this song this morning and one of my reactions, as well as it being a really enjoyable song, is that it sounds Christmassy even though I don't think it's meant to be a Christmas song

My entry to BJSC 79, jj - 'All White Everything'! The song itself has such a chilled wintery feel to it, plus both the title and aesthetic of the video feel this way as well - conjuring up the image of snow and a white Christmas. Sounds so wondrous at this time of year!

A lot of trance tracks sound Christmassy or wintry because of the synths in them especially Jurgen Vries and CMC's song Brave New World (Opera Song) (anything operatic is a bit Christmassy anyway) and of course his 2005 song with DT8 Project, Winter.

All About She - Higher (Free) I will always associate with Christmas as it was played loads on Radio 1 before Christmas 2013 and I liked it a lot at the time (still do)

Blondie's Maria I always thought wrongly was a Christmas number 1 because of the bells.
