It rarely snows down here </3 it might be to do with some sciencey shit like the sea air stops it from forming so often. It hasn't snowed for around 5 years or so and when it does it's never too deep or lasts too long.

I LOVE snow. I'm usually a mega moaning myrtle when it comes to bitterly cold weather but snow is the exception I can make! It's just so incredibly pretty and a lot of fun to play in. Sledging down a hill near my house plus building forts, snowmen and having snowball fights with my neighbours provided much fun in the past *.*

Bad times associated with snow: little annoying kids chucking snowballs at you, losing my glasses in the snow once (as you do) and me and my friends deciding it would be a GOOD idea to have a snowball fight while walking home from school after a cooking lesson. Safe to say that many snowballs ended up in the chilli con carne that I had made that day at school lmao </3

It hasn't snowed here for a good couple of years but I do remember back in the day getting a few 'snow days' off school! (that disheartening moment when tuning into local radio/your school website and your school was one of the ones still open when it had snowed though :eyes:) A white Christmas in the near future would be delightful.

Edit: Mattias' post has reminded me that I do seem to recall lots of heavy snow in 2010. Me and my dad were stuck in the snow in late 2k10 for about 7 hours for what should have been a 1 hour car journey. Dreadful! He had a BMW at the time too which didn't help matters, awful in the snow.

I haven't seen snow yet this year (lots of frost though) but we do get it here sometimes. The winter of 2009-2010 was the most snowy I have seen here, there were problems with transport etc. My sister couldn't get her planned bus to the airport that time so had to get an alternative. In Estonia it gets much more snowy and it's often like that for the entire winter. Because I lived there, I have vivid memories of what I used to have to walk through laugh.gif I like snow in general though x But when you have a lot of snow melting, it makes everything messy lol

The word "snow" sounds weird to me now laugh.gif

No longer go to school = no chance of a snow day off school = nothing good for snow to bring

It will all just turn icy and make it awful for trying to walk anywhere. Hate hate hate, STAY AWAY

It's been years since we last had proper snow here, but I'm not complaining.

I like snow, and I would love to see some this year. The sledges my mum bought us three years ago have yet to be used.

Sadly, with global warming the chances that my descendants will ever see snow elsewhere than in the Alps or in pictures look pretty dim.

I don't mind snow walking in it, but when its turns to ice and kids are sledging on the pavements, it makes it 10 times worst to walk on, especially round here where we have an old peoples home, I remember an old dear she fell and broke her leg in two places just walking on the pavement to get to the shops just behind us, where kids were just sledging on the pavement. If kids want to sledge they should do it elsewhere like a local park.

Snow is magical. It's utterly beautiful. It's a substance that can even make Dundee look pretty. Anything that can do that is magical and should be worshiped.

I went sledging in the snow in January in Oslo. I literally took the trip just to go play in the snow.

Lorelei Gilmore's response to snow is about the same as mine, although unlike her I cannot smell it.

I absolutely love the snow BUT it never ever snows here. The last time it snowed here properly was 2009/2010 and then turned to ice for two weeks cause the temperature never got above zero.

I would love to see more white snow here, but all we get is watery mush if we're very lucky, I don't think I've seen snow, at least a proper fall, since 2010 and I don't imagine it'll be any different this year.
