So when do your decorations~ go up ohmy.gif

Mine went up today which is quite early for us as it's been as late as ~20th before laugh.gif I personally would have them up no earlier than 1st December but also considering when I have the chance etc. I think it's better to have them u longer so the effort of putting up/back away is worth it, although I heard someone say they get dusty or whatever if they are up longer mellow.gif

Was also thinking of possibly creating a general Christmas decorations thread magic.gif Great minds etc.

It varies, the tree usually goes up around the 6th of December. This year I think it went up on the 5th but then some lights (non-flickering) and a few other things here and there went up a few days before the tree. I don't go over the top with Christmas decorations, the tree is quite modest and fake.

I have this in my room. It's technically a candle holder but I just love it because of aesthetics:

Not going to get our tree until ~17th because my family wants to wait until I'm back from uni so we go and pick it up together like we normally do. Not sure re: other decorations. x

Putting ours up on either Saturday or Sunday. If it was up to me they'd have been up for weeks now but my mam is being a scrooge and doesn't want them up for any longer than needed. drama.gif

1st December for us! Never before December but as soon as it's the 1st, it's full steam ahead with Christmas in my house! laugh.gif

My mum allowed me to decorate the tree for the first time this year, picture (some of you may have seen this on Facebook):

Used to be about the second or third weekend of December and they'd stay up until January 6th, but since my parents go on holiday over the Christmas week now, they don't bother anymore. I've never bought anything to decorate my room down in London with either.

If I lived alone i probs wouldn't bother, not that fussed over Christmas laugh.gif My mum usually just puts bits up at some point in December, not usually as early as the 1st but not too close to Christmas so that they aren't up for long.

My housemates at uni have put them up at midnight on the 1st and had Christmas music on 24/7 since laugh.gif

Ours will go up whenever we have a free weekend. Will have to move the fish tank out of the way first though, which is a job and a half.

Always right after my birthday on the 10th up until January 6th. I have always felt that I've been lucky as my birthday's the right distance from Christmas so the two don'e overlap too much and I can get into full Christmas mode at that time.

It's gonna be a last-minute effort here, just getting new carpet in the house this week and we have a furniture delivery to schedule after that, so it's best not to have a Christmas tree in the way. Normally our decorations would go up the first week of December.

Usually the last Saturday in November, but because it was so late this year I decided to make it the 21st of November this year. I would do PICS but we have so many different trees and exterior decorations I just can't be bothered. Might do the main tree though because it's looking extra FESTIVE this time out.
