Devastated! Just bought her latest book in Waterstone about 2 minutes ago and was looking forward to reading it in the hope she was on the mend and now stable which is what the latest news reports were saying. She was such a likeable lady and 60 just feels so young. It was so exciting to see her in Rogue One but now that and Episode 8 will just feel bittersweet sad.gif

RIP <3

FFS there's going to be no celebs alive in 2017 by the rate everything's going. Madness. Never been such a death heavy year as much as 2016.

Rest in peace xx

She was stable, not exactly on the mend. By all accounts a ventilator was keeping her alive.

This is the worst one this year for me. I'm a massive Star Wars and Leia fan and she was amazing in absolutely everything else I saw her in and a complete icon on Twitter and TV. May she rest in peace.

f*** 2016. Couldn't even let us have one hero survive. Carrie was fabulous, as is her mother who now has to carry on without her. Carrie was great fun recently on The Last Leg and QI, and Family Guy, among the obvious Star Wars timeless wonderfulness.

While I'm feeling bitter and twisted f*** the Sun, the Mail, the Express and the Telegraph, but especially the Murdoch scum for making grubby dirty headlining money out of the problems of good people (see George Michael) or attacking their political gestures (supporting the miners strike, NHS and other less-political generous gestures - see also George Michael) and muckraking Carrie Fisher after her heart attack while she was DYING, and then make money out of pretending they loved them all along (see todays front pages). f*** off you awful people.

I mean I shouldn't be surprised, she clearly wasn't long for this world, but still...gutting. A true icon, Star Wars will never quite be the same again.

I did watch a few Star Wars films in the past, sadly I don't really remember the human characters that well as I was more into the non human ones like R2D2 and Jar Jar Binks (I think I vaguely remember Princess Leia), but the films were great.

RIP Carrie Fisher as she clearly was a major ingredient in making the Star Wars films great.

I really don't know guys, this is too much, enough for me to forgive everyone who's been crying 2016 celeb doom too much. Amazing actress, amazing woman, I loved seeing her still going for the new Star Wars films and now she's just gone. RIP.
