Does anyone on here, have a bet on anything such as sport, Christmas No1 and other things just out of interest.

If so, what do you bet on.

And which bookmakers do you use?

Do you bet online, on apps, or in the betting shops?

I've put bets on 3 things and won a decent amount of money 2 out of 3 times. (bet on Bieber to be Christmas #1 in 2015 and lost £50 due to the NHS Choir smile.gif but won £100 betting on Clean Bandit to be the 2016 Christmas #1, and in between the two I won a similar amount betting on Iceland knocking England out of the Euros laugh.gif ) It's not something I intend to get any more into.

Wish I'd put money on 33/1 Clean Bandit too!

I don't particularly like to risk money in that way, so I wouldn't bet my own money. However, I'll gladly open up an account on a betting website and use my welcome money to bet on something (although I still have to wait 30 months before I'm legally allowed to do so). I mean, in that case I'd be all for it, especially if I'm confident about me being right. It's extra money.

I usually bet on Eurovision, I think only once on Big Brother but I haven't won before laugh.gif I did bet on Eastenders for Bobby's killer (twice) neither of which were right! As Bre said, it isn't something that I'd really get into properly but there is the odd thing I put a fiver or a tenner on.

I have occasionally kept a track of bets I might have made had I been inclined to do so. In general it has confirmed that I did the right thing in keeping my money.

Eurovision normally SINKS a fair chunk out of me each year but it pays off for the SHEER JOY of the few long shots that come through. I won about £140 on Leicester winning the Premier League because of their ludicrous odds at Christmas last year (when they were still top of the league!)

I usually put a bet on the Grand National every year without much success, I bet on the Mercury Prize every few years (won £25 on Skepta last year), and bet on Eurovision for the first time last year and won £10. During the Euros I started microbetting, and although I came out with a net gain, I think it's not something I'd like to get pulled into again. Once you get to the stage where you're betting on whether a player will get a yellow card in the next 5 minutes of the game, it's probably the time to reconsider your life.

I have what appears to me like the worst luck with betting so I've given up doing it since May (that'll last until February when I start thinking about Eurovision betting (on which I almost always back the wrong songs these days), get distracted by a football thing that looks to be a cinch, lose money and quit again). Could have probably missed a few easy ones like Clean Bandit but I don't pay enough attention to it.

I always bet tiny amounts as well because I have no balls and no appetite to get a gambling addiction so it's been easy for me to stop.

Once it gets to a stage if virtual horse racing and greyhound then reconsider. Or even sellers on the all weather such as Lingfield and Wolverhampton.

When the fun stops stop,.

I only have done about a pound each way max nothing too big.

Have an account with Sky Bet that I've used for Eurovision for the past two contests, wouldn't consider betting on sport. Yet to LOSE money but last year I only managed to win back the amount I'd spent :')

I bet on cricket and tennis mainly. I use a betting exchange rather than a bookmaker so I am betting against other punters. I make a small profit, nothing huge.

I've never won at betting, so I'm giving up! laugh.gif tbf i've only betted a handful of times on Who Killed Lucy, Christmas #1 and TV ratings. Also on the General Election 2015 come to think of it. I betted on a Conservative Minority government. Damn those 6 extra seats mellow.gif

I've spent about 11 hours in the casino the last two times I've been on a night out.

I love gambling, betting, basically any way to get more money. laugh.gif
