01. Future Bass Fishermen In A Tropical House - EDM Progressive Spin Cycle (feat. Princess Lotita)

No Answer: Mack, Jade, n4yr, DalekTurret32, Chez Wombat, Jacob Alan, HarryEzra, Dircadirca, Klumzee, Taylor Jago, Riser, burbe, Danuary, Iz~, The-BrightPlaces, PeteFromLeeds, JSG, J▲hq, Dobbo, Sarah, Bré

Not a great start as no one gets the first one right. The first clip may have only contained four notes but could you not recognise the style of Future Bass Fishermen in a Tropical House? NWD everyone nocheer.gif

01. Adele - Hello

Adele - Hello: Jade, n4yr, DalekTurret32, Chez Wombat, Jacob Alan, HarryEzra, Dircadirca, Klumzee, Taylor Jago, Riser, burbe, Danuary, The-BrightPlaces, PeteFromLeeds, JSG, J▲hq, Dobbo, Sarah

sounds like something dull a la A Great Big World but the clip is too short for me to make anything of it: Bré
No Answer: Mack, Iz~

Of course, the REAL song that the first clip was taken from was Adele's massive comeback single from 2015, 'Hello'! It smashed records everywhere as has become instantly iconic. All but two of you managed to name the song just from the four notes that were featured, showing how recognisable they can be! However, former Adele mod Bré thinks that the song is something dull and fails to get it right. I guess he should be thankful that the Adele Forum is no longer otherwise some questions would be raised!

Fantastic start! cheer.gif Instantly recognisable intro (even if not the most distinctive in the world) due to that song being so omnipresent in 2015.

02. Biffy Clyro – The Captain

Biffy Clyro – The Captain: Jade, DalekTurret32, Chez Wombat, Jacob Alan, Danuary, Iz~, The-BrightPlaces, JSG, Bré, Dobbo
Biffy Clyro: PeteFromLeeds (0.5 points)

The Darkness: HarryEzra
Muse: Klumzee
Flobots – Handlebars: Riser
someone like 30 Seconds to Mars: J▲hq
No Answer: n4yr, Mack, Dircadirca, Taylor Jago, burbe, Sarah

Now starts the confusion after an easy start! I think this was possibly the longest clip used due to the lengthy foot stomping at the start of the song before an explosion of guitars and drums that can only belong to Biffy Clyro. The song is taken from their biggest era so far, 'Only Revolutions', which saw all six singles go Top 40, something I wish would happen again. sad.gif

10 of you got this right with Pete managing to gain 1/2 points for naming Biffy Clyro.

Brayden rotf.gif

In fairness, whenever I heard a piano intro on the radio in late 2015, I could never tell if it was Hello, Writing's On The Wall, or Alive (by Sia).

#2 was the most frustrating one for me, it's not a favorite of mine and I probably haven't listened to it since it charted so I don't feel quite as bad, it wasn't as obvious as I feared.

03. Bastille – Things We Lost in the Fire

Bastille – Things We Lost in the Fire: Jade, Jacob Alan, Klumzee, burbe, Danuary, The-BrightPlaces

Everything Everything – Regret: HarryEzra
Jem – They: Mack
Jem: PeteFromLeeds
Marina and the Diamonds - Mowgli's Road: Riser
Paloma Faith (I know it’s not, but that kinda vein): J▲hq
No Answer: n4yr, DalekTurret32, Chez Wombat, Dircadirca, Taylor Jago, Iz~, JSG, Bré, Dobbo, Sarah

And the number of correct answers grow smaller again. 'Things We Lost in the Fire' came from Bastille's debut album and gave them their third Top 40 single. It is certainly one of my favourites from them, and a lot of that love comes from the production as heard in the clip. Both Pete and Mack thought it was Jem which I can kind of see the resemblance and 'They' is a fantastic track which I probably should have included too! Riser goes for Marina and the Diamonds, will she be featured later on...? thinking.gif Meanwhile Jahq gets the recency right but I'm not sure I would put Bastille in the same vein as Paloma!

04. David Bowie - Heroes

David Bowie - Heroes: Jade, DalekTurret32, Chez Wombat, Jacob Alan, Dircadirca, Klumzee, Taylor Jago, burbe, Danuary, Iz~, The-BrightPlaces, J▲hq, Sarah
David Bowie – Modern Love: Riser (0.5 points)
pretty sure I know this. Is it David Bowie or something?: Bré (0.5 points)

Marina and the Diamonds – Froot - HarryEzra
The Specials: PeteFromLeeds
Creedance Clearwater Revival – Proud Mary: Dobbo
No Answer: n4yr, Mack, JSG

After three more recent songs, we're going a bit further back for one of my favourite songs from an incredible artist who sadly passed away last year. 'Heroes' was notably featured in the Olympic Closing Ceremony as well as being his highest charting track following the sad news of his death. Riser gets the artist right but not the song and Bré shows that you should always guess because it could earn you some points like it has done here! Another Marina guess for this clip but sadly its not correct again! Dobbo's guess has just made me realise that Tina Turner's Proud Mary is actually a cover!
