Since food is seemingly simultaneously inspiring us and bringing us together lately, I raise your crisp sandwich, cheese in soup AND potato discussion with this, the only thing that matters aside from pizza, burgers.

I strongly believe just about anything works on a burger. Now I've always been a fan of the burger, it's usually my go to when I eat out but I used to lead a very deprived life where I'd just go for a standard chicken mayo, with a bit of salad, maybe cheese and bacon on there too if I was feeling adventurous but recently I tried a Balmoral burger in one of my locals and it's changed me. It had a beef burger, it had salad, it had bacon, it had cheese, it had gherkins, it had HAGGIS!!! It even came with a little mini gravy boat of some kind if sauce, I've never been this excited over a burger before, it was beautiful cry.gif

I've tried Mac and cheese burgers before too which are pretty magical but I wanna know what are your burger preferences?

Mac and Cheese Burgers are a gift to humanity. I've also had an epic Chicken, Chorizo and Cheese combo before as well. It was DEVINE.

Rascals in St Andrews is amazing for burgers. I really need to go to Almost Famous down here as I hear they have amazing burgers.

Condiments destroy good burgers tho. Hold the Ketchup/Mayo/Mustard ta. It don't belong near Burgers. Save it for other revolting things like Fish.

MAC AND CHEESE BURGERS *.*

Hubbox down here have the best burgers, they do an amazing buttermilk chicken one and you can get pulled pork cheese fries *.* I think it's only a thing in Cornwall, Plym and maybe Exeter though :/ Of course there is also Five Guys which is life changing, a bit pricey but until you taste how f***ing amazing it is you don't realise that it is worth every penny. Spoons do great ones too, the Texan one (I think that's what it's called) with cheese, bbq sauce and onion rings and the buttermilk chicken one >>>>

A lot of cheese and mayo/ketchup with gherkins.

Thanks for making me hungry!

burgers are amaze.

never heard of having mac+cheese in a burger, seems odd.

I usually just go for the standard cheeseburger

All burgers are nice, but I've never been a fan of tomatoes or gherkins on them, they're too slimy for me and I just take them off when they come with them.

I had a mac and cheese at a place called Monetary Jacks, I'm not sure if they exist in anywhere other than Perth (if you see one go in, they have incredible cocktails too) and it was basically just a beef burger but with Mac and cheese ontop, it sounds weird but it's SO good

Tomatoes in burgers (or anything) are the worst.

I thought Mac and Cheese Burgers were only a thing in America. I'm intrigued to try and find one here now (even if it leads to a heart attack).

Can't beat a burger heart.gif Gourmet Burger Kitchen is probs my favourite restaurant for them (however big they are), but honestly I could eat a good cheeseburger anywhere however greasy, just as long as it has no tomatoes.

Bacon cheeseburgers are the best, particularly Burger King's!

Speaking of, I had an amazing burger in Spain last year with cheese, fried eggs(!), crispy onions and bacon *.*

I've yet to go to Five Guys, Eds Diner is really good, I'd say Hardrock is pretty overrated and over priced, there's a good burger place in Edinburgh called Bread Meats Bread but I've found pubs tend to do really good burgers laugh.gif

Onion rings are an essential accompaniment also x

I haven't had a burger for absolutely years but I wasn't too keen on them. I used to think krabby patties looked really nice on Spongebob though lmao, why must cartoon food often look more appealing than the actual product. Perhaps these Mac & Cheese burgers that you guys speak of shall be the ones to get me on board? Mac & Cheese is everything. <3

(Omg at the mention of Ed's Diner *.* the hotdogs there are delicious.)
