This has actually become somewhat of a debate after supermarket ASDA started stocking some of their ketchup bottles in the fridge, but which way do you lean?

Although I'm fine with it being stored in the cupboard before it's opened, I'm firmly of the IN opinion once opened: it keeps it fresh. It also tastes better cold rather than at room temperature.

Don't care either way, it doesn't go off or taste any different in the cupboard and the fridge is usually stuffed so recently it's been cupboard, but I've had it in the fridge for extended periods before.

Seems about right. laugh.gif

Apple juice/ orange juice or any kind of bottled non dilutable soft drink should be always fridge tho, probably another poll for another time.

Have never kept any condiments in the fridge (don't really eat ketchup but this applies to salad cream and mayonnaise). I can't say I've ever noticed the taste deteriorating tongue.gif

Cupboard is fine before opening but the fridge is essential afterward.

Why would anyone put it in the fridge?

In pubs/cafes it's just on the table so there's your answer.

Always keep it in the cupboard before opening and in the fridge after opening, and it never occurred to me that they don't refrigerate ketchup in restaurants until I read this thread. laugh.gif I barely use ketchup anymore anyway.

Good topic though, I thought it was gonna be just "do you like/dislike ketchup" since obvs a fair amount of people can't stand it.
