We have 10 entries chosen for Kyiv and half of those WILL be in the Grand Final as they are the entries of the Big 5 countries; France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. So I thought we'd have a poll to see who of these automatic qualifiers has done the best job. You need to choose your favourite entry and then also choose which you believe can get the best result in Ukraine. If you need a reminder of the songs:

France: Alma - Requiem
Germany: Levina - Perfect Life
Italy: Francesco Gabbani - Occidentali's Karma
Spain: Manel Navarro - Do It For Your Lover
United Kingdom: Lucie Jones - Never Give Up On You

The best song for me, by a clear mile is 'Requiem' by Alma. France has always been underrated at Eurovision so it was fabulous to see them get a great result with Amir last year (ROBBED of the top 5) and this new direction in French entries continues to throw up brilliance with 'Requiem'. A classic French sound but it still sounds really modern and fresh, absolutely love it!

In terms of who I think will do the best, I have to go with Spain. I know he's been slightly tarnished with MIRELAEUROVISION-gate, but it's VERY contemporary and it has that 'J'ai cherché' bilingual vibe which works so well. Yes it's no WINNER for sure, but I believe with good staging (which he did have in the national final, just needs tightening up a bit) this could potentially return Spain to the top 10 in a Tom Dice/Gianluca type of way.

My fave is without a doubt France by a distance for more or less the same reasons Adam outlined. In terms of what'll do the best, I think Italy's the only one who's a lock on for the left hand side because it is actually quite a chirpy, catchy song and 'lol gorilla'. Everything else is either dependent on the people in charge not f***ing the staging up (France, UK), banking on the talents of a young and inexperienced performer (Spain) or hasn't got a hope in hell (Germany).

France is my favourite because it's really beautiful and I can't really get enough of that French sound when it turns up. Very closely followed by Italy though as I love that sort of singing style and the descent into the chorus makes it really compelling for me quite apart from the staging theme.

I don't think Italy will win but I do think it'll probably do the best out of these 5. France could do at least okay but I struggle to see it coming close to J'ai cherché sadly. Spain could do well but I doubt it, I can see the argument you're making Adam but I think it's too limp to capture attention as a meld of Frans and Amir, that's a hook that belongs in a 00s semi.

My favourite is France. I'm presuming Italy will do best out of all of them.

I'd rank them:

1. France
2. Italy
3. UK
4. Spain
5. Germany (good lord, just what on earth were they thinking with this? This girl is no Lena and the song is certainly no Satellite)

My personal ranking:

1. Italy
2. France
3. UK
4. Spain
5. Germany

My very non-scientific predictions:

1. Italy (1st to 5th overall)
2. France (8th to 12th overall)
3. UK (14th to 18th overall)
4. Spain (16th to 20th overall)
5. Germany (22nd to 26th overall)

Voted Italy for both as I think it has the potential to both win and be my favourite entry of the year.
