Who loves cockles and mussels? Good for you, seafood. Just bought 2 packs of mussel meat in Tesco for 10p each instead of 1.20 each. The dog likes them too and my tropical fish go crazy for it. I drop some in there and they fight over it!! Wife buys the fresh ones but can't be bothered with the shells, just prefer the simple mussel meat. Daughter likes them in a sauce in the chilled packets that you boil.

By the way the ones in the jars in vinegar are no good. Fresh is always best. Frozen mussel meat isn't very good either.

Great protein esp. in shrimps but they are gross and should be eaten sparingly because they increase cholesterol!!

This could have been about the debut of a new Cornish fisherman band and I wouldn't have batted an eyelid.

Who else loves this oily fish then? I love it grilled fresh, smoked or even in tins in a sandwich or with salad. It's the scavenger of the sea, bit like a catfish, as it eats all the crap on the sea bed. Very high in omega 3 though so good for you.

When I was a lad we used to go with my uncle in Ireland to catch them fresh from the Irish sea at 8am and were eating them with chips at lunchtime!

Do you love fish? I do, could eat it every day really but love my meat too. What about seafood? I love prawns, mussels etc but not keen on squid, too rubbery. Wife cooked an octopus a few weeks ago. Took hours. I was moaning that the gas cost more than the octopus! rolleyes.gif

I love mackerel and am having smoked mackerel today. Had breaded cod fillets that I got half-price in Tesco yesterday. Adore all salmon too. Do you prefer smoked, fresh or tinned salmon?

Do you have your 3 portions of fish a week? Anyone can't eat fish as they're allergic to it like someone we know?
