I can't believe we're at this time again!

Pancake day is Tuesday so does anyone have any plans to give something up for lent?

Giving up the same thing I give up every Lent - biscuits, chocolate, sweets, cakes & anything else sweeter than the sugar I put in my coffee. Whether I stick to it however varies year on year - having my birthday dead in the centre of Lent doesn't really help.

I've given up having sugar in my hot drinks - having a teaspoon of sugar in a drink 6 times a day mounts up pretty quickly and apparently it's made my friends feel a lot healthier and more alert so it's definitely worth quitting. I've found myself grow accustomed to the taste of tea and coffee w/o sugar very quickly too, there's basically no difference.

I've put on 2 and a half stone since last Lent so perhaps I should give up the chocolate this year. laugh.gif

I actually nearly lost 2 stone since last lent but I've put almost a stone of that back on in recent months so I need to get on it again.
