Hey,

Maybe it's the whisky talking in me but I was wondering how you want to be remembered at the end of your life.

What legacy do you want to leave behind?

How do you want future generations to remember you as?

And also, (not to sound too dismal) I'm interested in knowing if you could pick any song in the world ever made, what song would you like to be played at your funeral?

Sorry to start the weekend with such a dark tone!

I'd like to be remembered as an honest, loyal and kind person. That's all really.

I hate talking about death, but I will just say 'for being myself'.

Song wise would definitely be a Kelly Clarkson ballad

Same as Cameron, just for being myself

Song played at funeral: I Want Your Soul by Armand van Helden, because I definitely want a disco house tune but this is a more reflective sounding one.

Just to be remembered would be a bonus.

For the music, either Disco Inferno (The Trammps), Going Underground (The Jam) or Deeper Underground (Jamiroquai) for that funeral song depending on the type of ceremony.

I went to a funeral recently where Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life was played and that was quite a good one.

Someone who was kind and had a pleasant wit, and tried his best to be a good and interesting person.

Maybe someone who also wrote stuff that can be added to the vast canon of human literature - somewhere, if a permanent record of my thoughts can be left down the ages then I'd be happy, even if it's something so obscure that few people would ever read it, just knowing that they could come across it would be enough (so one of my life ambitions is to write something big enough to be a clear project). The same way as we have writings from thousands of ancient scholars, monks, authors, philosophers etc.

Funeral songs would be a symphonic, soundtracky and gothic affair - basically my favourite songs in a mix of moods (with a playlist continuing for the wake party) although something along the lines of My Immortal would be a good one for the centrepiece. Actually no, that is a good one but I think Nightwish - Meadows Of Heaven would be perfect and more uniquely me.

I'd like to be remembered (by those close to me ofc.) for doing good in some ways, or that I made a positive influence on those who knew me well. Not like Mother Theresa or anything, but I like to think that's my ultimate goal in life.

Funeral song I think would be either Sigur Ros - Hoppipolla or Yakety Sax

Idk someone who made a positive impact on a lot of people? I'd like to be recognised for at least one piece of my design work too and my flawless taste in music angel.gif

In The Mourning or Future by Paramore at my funeral I think, it's 100% got to be a Paramore song

I was wondering if someone would start a thread about being remembered sooner than later!

As for remembered wise, someone who is kind, caring & there for friends and family through difficult times not necessarily death just relationships, jobs etc. Obviously for the awesome things I've done or will do in my life as well & someone who loved to have a hell of a dance at music gigs!

I initially thought of The Feeling Fill My Little World as remembrance song that defines me because it describes my own bubble & my happy go lucky self when I am like that. However I'm not sure I'd particularly like a service as such and I've talked to my family about it quite a bit in the last few years (my mum doesn't particularly want a service for after she's gone either) that I'd rather they just jumped straight to a party or something cause I don't like the seriousness even if I am dead and won't care.

But yeah remembered for the happy times & kind person hopefully!

I'm sure people will say I was always positive, couldn't have been nicer, was quiet but helpful and never wanted attention. I'd like to hear that I'm a caring and amazing friend, at least on Buzzjack but in real life would be nice as well. I just want people to say I meant something to them, more so than to be remembered for anything work-related.

'I Lived' by OneRepublic is definitely my top choice for a funeral song.

Agree with Harry, Chez & Riser. I want to be remembered for someone who was kind and helpful, and someone who was there as a friend for anyone who needed it.

As for my funeral, Lukas Graham - Funeral (what else laugh.gif ) (I'd probably have a few worship songs there as well, namely 'How Great is Our God')

I feel my life has been pretty worthless for the most part, and I wouldn't want to die without having achieved something REALLY good to make up for that; I often fantasize about dying by means of going after a complete stranger in a dangerous situation such as a house fire or someone trapped by a dangerous current or something, idk how many people think the same way but that's me laugh.gif

I'd also have some snazzy quote written on my grave, something about learning through mistakes even if others don't see it that way tongue.gif
