On Vera Lynn's 100th birthday I thought it might be interesting to find out if anyone here has a relative of similarly great age?

One of my great-aunts lived to 103 (but I never met her), and another who lived to 99 who I do remember meeting.

My grandmother (mum's mum) is currently 101!

She always said she'd live until 100 but it seemed a bit unrealistic to me so I continue to be shocked that she is defying the odds!

If she's anything like my mother (who died 4 years ago at 90), she'll have lots of stories & reminiscences to entertain her descendants. smile.gif

I was lucky enough to have three great grandparents in their 90s! But sadly each one of them died one year after the other since 2014.

None that I knew of lived until 100 so far, but a great great aunt made 95, just a few months short of her 96th. Oldest known relative of mine.

Oldest I know of is a great aunt who lived to 98 (1898-1996) but I never really met her as she was fairly frail by the time I was born.

My grandma's still healthy at almost 77, so she could well do another 25 years!

My great aunt and great grandmother both made it into their 90s, none made it to 100 though.

My great grandfather was 93 when he passed away in 1991 and that was the oldest relative. My grandfather has turned 87 on Sunday and is really healthy and still does everything at home and visits my grandmother in the elderly home every day on his bike.
