There maybe a change at the top, unfortunately Ed Sheeran is in contention with replacing himself with 'Galway Girl' unless 'Shape of You' sticks around for its 13th week stint at #1. New entries from Calvin Harris collaborating with Young Thug, Pharrell Williams and Ariana Grande on 'Heatstroke', and Cheat Codes could just sneak in there with 'No Promises' collaborating with Demi Lovato. Expect a few climbers into the top 40 singles from Little Mix feat Machine Gun Kelly on 'No More Sad Songs', Martin Solveig feat. Ina Wroldsen on 'Places', Jason Derulo, and Kendrick Lamar. Julia Michaels 'Issues' which is a bit of a surprise hit for me could get a new peak inside the top 10.

On the album front Ed Sheeran is looking for a 5th week at #1 in the album chart, is closest competition will be Jamiroquai 'Automaton', Goldfrapp release a new studio album titled 'Silver Eye' who are aiming to enter the album chart inside the top 10. Other new album releases from Mastodon 'Emperor of Sand', British Sea Power 'Let the Dancers Inherit the Party', Aimee Mann 'Mental Illness', Bob Dylan 'Triplicate' and Nelly Furtado 'The Ride'.

Breakdown of the week

Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.
- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.
- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)
- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).

As the number 1 Album has become a bit of a foregone conclusion we should shift the focus to predicting the number 2.
Will Take That hold steady or maybe Jamiroquai can overtake their Nineties rivals. Rag 'N' Bone Man may be able to steal it though?

I'm really intrigued to see how Jamiroquai and Goldfrapp do in the albums, with both being considered "veteran" acts now.

Hope JQ grabs the @2 spot
But probably will end up at 5 behind Ed,TT, Rag & Drake
Goldfrap will be low top 10 I fear

Shape has slowed down a lot on itunes, Symphony and Galway are doing double
Maybe Galway could finally make it to @1

Kendrick, Future and Derulo could all be top 40 in singles come Friday

Shape of You still has several versions, doesn't it? Although the Major Lazer one is not getting spectacular numbers

Yeah I'd say Jason will sneak top 40 and Kendrick will be comfortably around 32-36.
