Hey guys,

What songs do you like to put on to relax and unwind? Is there a certain voice you go to each time, or is it a specific album you love to overplay and it just does the job?

As somewhat of a expert on music genres like chillout, ambient, lounge, Balearic, tranquil and a few others too, I know how important it is for me to have the right playlist available with the right songs on for me to just instantly escape to.

Tell us what music you like to relax to. happy.gif

The xx are my go-to for relaxing music, their first two albums in particular are so dreamy heart.gif Enigma also have some brilliant chilled stuff in their repertoire. Then a couple of other songs that come to mind are William Orbit produced songs like All Saints - 'Pure Shores' and Madonna - 'Frozen', that kind of ambient pop is lush.

I've never really been into 'chillout' music- I just play whatever music I like. Using the example from above, when I was about 10, I used to get annoyed that I had to hear At the River at the end of a verily danc-ey Groove Armada album

The xx are definitely a good shout and, to extend on what Jade said in regards to Orbit productions, Madonna's full Ray of Light album is a personal go to for wanting to wind down and relax. For me, it works perfectly in the sun or at night. Similarly, see Lana Del Rey's Born to Die.

I knew you were going to have posted that when I saw you as the last post in this thread Jacob biggrin.gif That self promo. (Agreed tho <3)

To do some years-late BJSC self-promo of my own this is an old entry of mine that I often go back to to chill out:

alt-J's '3WW' is a recent song that is wonderful for chilled vibes as well heart.gif And of course anything by The xx and London Grammar too. Jack Johnson and Chris Malinchak are also good shouts. x
