Ok it may seem like a random thread but it's a BIG a deal for me.

Do you take the gherkin out when eating a McDonald's burger or do you eat it? Reason for asking is I caught my brother taking out the gherkin and I was OUTRAGED, so it then turned into a big row whether gherkins should be in a McDonald burger.

Discuss x

Never. Not now not ever. The best thing about these new automated ordering machines is that you can customise your burger without getting a dirty look so gerkhin and sauce be gone motherf***ers!

I've never used that feature, I normally only go for nuggets or a mayo chicken that doesn't need anything removed but I feel like getting a Big Mac just to try that now.

I can't believe there is someone who likes gherkin tbh

i don't mind the taste that the gherkin leaves behind, but DESPISE eating them. the texture is awful and it's always so messy when you take that bite then it slips out and flops everywhere and causes f***ing havoc

It's so good! You can add shit now as well. So I like getting a mayo chicken, binning off the mayo because it's evil and adding cheese. Perfect burger

When you ask for a burger without gherkins, it takes twice as long and you still get gherkins wacko.gif

Gherkins are incredible! When I ate burgers from McDonalds I used to LOVE the gherkins from there, might just go back and order a burger without the meat just so I can get some of those gherkins wub.gif

Ewww... no no no. I'm not as bad now but when I was a lot younger if the gherkin hadn't been taken out (by either myself or a parent) & I had the misfortune of accidentally eating it I would refuse to eat the rest of the burger.

I've had that happen to me before. It was a takeaway order so didn't realise until I got back to my hotel so couldn't eat it. Too much mustard and ketchup. I wrote a polite complaint to Macca's and got £10 in vouchers off them!

It's good fun. Depends what software the machine is running but some you have to click on the product after adding it to order but a new version means you can do it before you add it to order. The one closest to work is on the new software and it's sooo good.
