We keep all sauces and pickles in the fridge but my parents never did. On the ITV show Don't Ask Me Ask Britain it was a pretty split vote, 52% to 48% so the jury's still out on this one. They do say Refrigerate After Opening on the bottles.

Personally, I kind of dislike ketchup so in my house, I'd never buy it in the first place. It doesn't taste terrible but it's just that mayonnaise or salad cream taste better on everything. My family keep it in the fridge so I guess there!

I quite like the warm chip cold ketchup combo!!

I prefer to keep ketchup in the fridge but my flatmates steal it (and they will use half a bottle in a sitting mellow.gif) so I keep it in my room

It still belongs in the trash alongside Mayo and Mustard and all your other garbage condiments

Always in the cupboard, as our fridge is always full to the brim with other stuff, that needs to be refrigerated.

Ketchup remains firmly on the supermarket shelves but I've bought BBQ sauce before and kept that in the cupboard

Where's the "don't care" option? At the moment in the cupboard but I've kept it in the fridge before, it's fine both ways.

yeah except my housemates don't share with me, they will write their own names on things, but then the second i accidentally leave any of my things out it'll get taken and used (and then never cleaned, ive had to throw out so much cutlery/plates etc out of principle which i refuse to wash after they've used them then not cleaned but then there's mould)

It's in the fridge at mine but my housemates use it not me, I'd probs put it in the fridge tho, I do with other condiments (I tend to have bbq sauce or that amaze curry ketchup you can buy).

Obviously. Not that I ever use ketchup as it's pretty disgusting, but all condiments should be kept chilled.

Oh wind yer neck in FFS. I was only saying it tongue-in-cheek hence the smiley. You should all know me by now.

I'm twice as old as most of you, more in some cases so of course I have more life experience. smile.gif

I'd have to say that room temperature ketchup is the way to go, but I don't even dip my fries into ketchup anymore. It's really just extra salt that I don't need. The only thing I put ketchup on is a hot dog really.

Okay well put your name on everything. When my daughter was in halls they got the biggest Heinz ketchup they could find and took it in turns to buy it.
