today i went to our tesco express for the first time, in walking distance express store wise the coop and sainsburys are a lot closer so tescos was a lil bit of a treat. i went in for chicken garlic & herb kievs which i got, so i'm excited to try them later and see how they stand up to waitrose kievs

i also was delighted they had a great rubicon selection which can be quite rare, and it was two cans for a pound!!!!!! i got one guava and one lychee

There's a PATEL SHOP near me.

I bloody LOVE supermarkets. I frequently go for Tesco runs but the best selection of Ben & Jerrys is always at Morrisons so sometimes I walk the 10 mins extra to get there. The Asda near me is too small to emotionally invest myself in and the Sainsbury's on the other side of town makes me want to run out into the dual carriageway aimlessly.

oh and those weird newsagents owned by depressed-looking Indian men sat motionlessly behind a counter in really rough areas that always have a bizarrely diverse selection of soft drinks give me life *.*

The moment that both Tesco & Asda started selling cheesy crust pizza as standard was the day that I achieved self-actualization.

My last shop journey was to pick up a loaf of Nutty Crust bread. I only started buying it because it was the only bread I could get in a half loaf (given that I live by myself, I wouldn't get through a full loaf). 1.39 though, so works out more expensive than if I was getting a full pan.

I have a Co-op about 10 mins away from my house so that's quite handy! It's pretty small though so it's always Tesco for a bigger shop. Especially as there's a Subway next door wub.gif There's a Sainsbury's in town and an Asda near my Uni that my brother used to work at, but the likes of Aldi and Waitrose are a bit harder to get to.

I remember being bored senseless when my parents used to drag me round Netto as a kid with them laugh.gif I think that has ceased being a thing in the UK now tho

Co-Op is only good for their hot food bit, I have that for lunch like 2 or 3 times a week laugh.gif

In walking distance at uni, actual supermarkets are a bit sparse, there is a medium Sainsburys and a Tesco Metro which is fine for food as well as Aldi but that's up a hill. We have something ridic like 4 little Co-Ops though, a Tesco Express and two Sainsburys Locals.
