(now I'm home I can FINALLY think up a decent topic to make)

Anyway, which year of your life has been your favourite and why?

For me, I think it 2016 just takes it. I know I had my GCSEs that year but after that I had loads of time off that I spent with family and that just made me feel relaxed in general (and getting my results back and knowing I did well is just a great feeling as well). I knew where I was at with friendships and I had a group of friends that I knew were there for me. It was also the year we did the Anglesey Coastal Path for charity, which I have to say I think is my favourite holiday by a long shot.

When you've lived for nearly 3 decades, it's really hard to pick one.

1998, 2001, 2006 and 2008 stand out for me.

2017 has a VERY long way to go to become even an average year.

I'm going to go with 2016. I have the joy of having a mid January birthday so it's easy to coincide years with my age and being 21 was definitely my favourite year - for both good and bad. The positives being I graduated with the degree classification I wanted after having an absolute hellish second term in my final year, I started my teacher training, moved house after two years of living in the same house through my undergrad and generally see it as a year of change and transition.

It's only just over half way done, but 2017 is definitely the most obvious choice for me. I can't really recall a time when I've ever been as happy, at least not over an extended period of time. The combined serotonin jolt of getting a new job, a new car and finally finding a boyfriend has all added up to 5 almost perfect months.

2014 was a good year. One of the few where I wasn't in a shite job and nothing went wrong, haha.

This last year hasn't been too bad either, apart from the country going to crap politically. A lot of the years are knocked out for me because I was in school during them and I really disliked school on just about every level. Definitely not the 'best days of your life' for me!

2009, the year I turned 21. Peak of my early twenties youth and a time in life I felt the happiest - my top five years are all between 2007 and 2011!

Various life issues eroded me down after that to a hugely crappy time around 2014-15, but things seem to be slowly getting better now.

So many to name, 1994,1996,1998 and 2006 stood out for me i think. Although i remember the summer of 1992 was amazing too.

I'd say it has to be 2011 for me. That year I managed to knuckle down with school work, got into university, lost a significant amount of weight and met my first partner. It's all gone a bit downhill since then though laugh.gif

Probably 2009, I had a good time at school (for pretty much the first time!), got great GCSE results, got into college doing a higher level course than I thought, had an amazing holiday in the States and had a good circle of friends.

2012 would be second up, mainly for first year of uni memories and volunteering at the London Olympics (and going to New York, though wasn't the best time with Hurricane Sandy!)

I LOVED watching the London Olympics, I think 2012 is very much downweighted for me though bc of my first year of high school (and was the prelude to the hell that was 2013)

Recently, 2015 for me. It was when I started working at the factory I am at now. Prior to that, some bleak years healthwise and mentally negative as I didn't see a way back into employment. Things started looking up in 2014, but 2015 really took off.

Prior to that, 2000 was when I did a lot of travelling around the UK. A few cathedrals on the western side, but Shrewsbury Abbey stands out for me during that period.

I am with T Boy here...lived and experienced a lot of things in 3 decades...but if I have to choose each decade then I will pick 1999, 2007 and 2014.

1999 - Kosovo war ended and I remember coming back home and finding out that our house was untouched from enemy...so many tears of joy.

2007 - Got hired from US gov to work in Afghanistan which lasted almost 7 years...that job gave me so much opportunities in life that I think I would never achieve what I achieved in any other way.

2014 - Moving to US...after living my whole life in shell and trying to be someone I am not, I just had it enough and had to think about my future. I am still in closet to most of my cousins and social media due to the fact that being who I am is not "normal" but who gives a f*** anymore. Moving in NYC was the best decision of my life!!!

2016 was probably the best year of my life, due to the boost of happiness from getting into my first long term relationship, doing well at Uni while feeling like it wasn't too stressful yet and enjoying my work experience for local BBC radio. Also had a wonderful holiday to Portugal and did some fun things like seeing Melanie Martinez live and going to Winter Wonderland! 2017 feels like a happy continuation of last year on the relationship front and with Uni results (it definitely felt more stressful this year though) so far with the latter actually being better than first year. I've also been to my best concert ever, The xx! heart.gif We shall see if I enjoy work experience more this year!

2014 was also great because I loved my job at HMV, did lots of worthwhile volunteering that year like NCS and helping out at a charity shop at weekends and also I had a really good social life at sixth form (and did way better in my AS results than I was expecting!). Finally, I also seem to have a lot of good memories associated with my final year of primary school in 2008.

2009 - 2012

Those were my University years. I was incredibly happy, content and my biggest worry was either an essay or wondering how much I needed to pre-drink to afford a night out. Easily the best time of my life, met so many amazing people who are friends for life and just had an all round brilliant time.
