Takeaway meal

McDonald's (2 points) - Ultra, Klaus, Jacob, Jade, Josh
KFC - Bré, Lotti, Dandy, Olly, Pete, Dalek, Harry
Chicken, chips & ice cream - Floater, Dobbo
Chicken and chips - Mack, Chez
Chicken Nuggets - Iz

Bonus Points:

None

We lead with more people choosing incorrect KFC than the correct answer, McDonald's ohmy.gif both could have been right but I was trying to emphasise on the red box of chips and the ice cream was supposed to be a McFlurry kink.gif four people say what they see (Steven Mulhern teas :') ) while Iz thinks a box of just chicken nuggets is a meal sleep.gif

I said Chicken and Chips cos you specified 'meal' not 'restaurant' tongue.gif Though even had it said that, I probably would've said KFC over McDonalds there.

(Sorry, not aimed at you, these quizzes just frustrate me so much lmao)

2011 dance bop from the UK top 5

David Guetta feat. Flo Rida & Nicki Minaj (4 Points) - Where Them Girls At - Bré, Lotti, Dandy, Olly, Pete, Floater, Jade, Dalek, Iz
Avicii - Levels - Klaus, Jacob
thinking about you (surfing) - Dobbo

Bonus Points:

cba to look through what was top 5 that long ago x (2 Points) -
Ultra
The Wiggle from Sexy And I Know It (2 Points) - Mack
David Guetta feat. Rihanna - Who's That Chick (2 Points) - Chez

Self explanatory emojis, but the surfing one was my attempt at representing Flo Rida. Three peeps receive bonus points, one for admitting laziness , one for reminding me of the iconic moves in Sexy and I Know It and one for getting the main artist right and it being close to the rest of the emojis as well happy.gif

Oh I'm really surprised I got that first one right! I started to think it might be KFC or Nando's. Hooray for my overcomplicating paying off as my actual answer was: "McDonalds Happy Meal? (lmao maybe I'm reading too much into the smiley face on the chips emoji" laugh.gif

Off to a good start with #2 right as well. But then I think I have overcomplicated #3 too much and that it won't pay off this time. </3

Well I appreciate the bonus, but I definitely said Where Them Girls At! ohmy.gif (I realised after scouring the list of 2011 top 10 singles and that Who's That Chick was 2010 rather than 2011)

I was thinking more along the 'say what you see' route for #1 due to it saying meal tongue.gif But whenever I go in McDonalds I only seem to have chicken rather than their burgers so I see what people mean there but had it said restaurant, I imagine I would've gone for them rather than KFC

Historical discovery event

Columbus discovering America (6 Points) - Bré, Lotti, Dandy, Pete, Floater, Ultra, Mack, Chez, Klaus, Jacob, Dalek, Dobbo, Iz, Jahq
Independence Day - Josh, Harry
Henry Hudson explores the river Hudson in New York
Pilgrimage to New England

Bonus Points:

Iz gets an extra 2 points for putting in the effort of writing this essay:
QUOTE
Christopher Columbus 'discovering America' (although really all he did was make the wider Western world aware of the existence of America, which he, on his deathbed, swore was India, after pissing off enough kings with his crackpot theories about a tiny Earth until one finally said 'here, go sail off into the sunset and I hope you drown', and he was a colossal COCK to the natives of Hispaniola so there's that. Chris Columbus pushes my buttons)

sad.gif I thought this was going to be trickier than that because 6 points seemed like a lot. I read too much into the statue of liberty emoji and was thinking down the New York route, and the Hudson river then made sense in the discovery context. Ahh well~
