Music is one of my favourite sources to turn to when I need to calm down and relax. I'm sure it's the same for many of you, so I thought it might be a good idea to share which songs we turn to for this.

A few for me:

Enigma - Sadeness (Part I)

Probably my go-to chill-out song as I mentioned in my round of Never Mind The Buzzjacks!

The xx - Angels

Incredible band for relaxing music and this is my favourite of theirs.

Madonna - Frozen

Then something less obvious as Madge isn't really an artist who is particularly associated with relaxing music unlike the other two. But this song and its ambient production are heavenly. wub.gif

Aww Jade I love this thread. heart.gif

I have more chillout music in my collection than any other genre, so I'll gladly share some with you a bit later on. happy.gif

George Ezra's first album always puts me in a good mood and sometimes that's all I need to relax.
If I need something slower and emotionally moving, I usually need an OST like Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Outlander, etc - more classical and instrumental.

Completely agree especially Barcelona, Budapest and Listen To The Man.

Artists that help me relax:

Lana Del Rey
The XX

also Jakatta American Dream and Madonn Frozen are two big ones heart.gif

One more that has just come into my head is Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata', back in the day I had massive trouble sleeping and that was the one song I could put on repeat and it would help me sleep.

Btw, Wardy suggested turning this thread into a Spotify playlist which I thought was a brilliant idea. So I've created a collaborative playlist and added all the specific songs mentioned so far: https://open.spotify.com/user/jadegagaolly/...LNlzu6pDn2Op1JJ (if you just mentioned an artist, then let me know a specific song or two to add, or you can add it/them yourself x)

Edit: Some more that I've thought of:

Roger Sanchez - Another Chance (how did I not think of that yet)
ONUKA - Time
Layo & Bushwaka - Love Story
Massive Attack - Teardrop
All Saints - Pure Shores
