Moan thread, because why not.

To start us off, I work in a building with a lot of signs giving directions so people know exactly where things are. Despite this, literally every day, without fail, multiple people and groups of people from the public come up to me at my desk to ask where something that is signposted in the same room, or worse, actually visible within the room itself or at the end of the corridor is, or how to get there.

Now if we didn't have copious signs it wouldn't annoy me at all, but as we do it just irritates me. Possibly more because it's such a trivial thing!

What are yours? (or are your places of work perfect?)

When I was in office work, many many years ago, having to contribute to everyone's birthday present and leaving, wedding present etc, whether you liked them or not. They went round with a tin. Why not leave it on a desk and let everyone contribute as little or as much as they want anonymously?

I asked them in Tesco if they had mushy pea bakes and she said no such item ever existed. They did as I used to buy them there. Like fish cakes but mushy peas inside, 4 in a pack. They were nice. Must have stopped making them.

I don't know where you work but do you find yourself supplying your own pens and saying whenever you give it to someone that it is your pen? laugh.gif

This week though its been the amount of spiders that come out at night and I'm not talking about your average house spider, these are really really huge f**kers and they seem to appear as if from no where.

I just want an aircon system that functions. Ours is either on -90 degrees or it's broken so the office is hotter than hell. 6 weeks until we move offices and i cannot wait

Yeah but it isn't always that easy. Alternatives might not suit one for a variety of reasons.

I hate when people do that too. I hate my job, but I the money I'm on is really good, and I have good hours, so I wouldn't leave (unless I found something similar pay & hours or better of course) so I never walk around saying how much I hate my job. For me its shit job - good pay laugh.gif
It is hard to find another job sometimes, but if you work hard at searching, you'll find something. My mum hated her last job and walked out, two days later she had another job (I know its not always as easy as that, but still!)

Well obviously. But to just moan when you've worked there for YEARS and not even trying to do anything about it is just draining to listen to.

On the flipside, people who kiss ass to the manager and get promoted within a job even though they're terrible at the actual job!
