Welcome to Dropzone's place of tech worship. The temple of all things buzzing and pulsating with electricity. (No, not that! Get your mind out of the gutter!)

Here you will find some of the most notable tech news of the month, shiny new synths and hardware, plus some of freshest electronic projects on this big, round mass of elements we call EARTH.

This thread is open to all to share and discuss tech news, your favourite music tech, synthesizers, electronic events and anything that us nerds will enjoy showing off to our equally nerdy friends.
Remember to check back monthly for the hottest tech news, you won't want to miss out! Sooo enough of the introductions, lets power up and get this baby ticking over!

SEPTEMBER 2017
Well it has been a busy month here at Dropzone Records and throughout this time our team has been getting rather excited (some a little too excited aye Sam?) over some of the weird and wonderful offerings the Tech gods have graced us with.

SYNTH ME A SONG
All of us here are completely OBSESSED with synthesizers/keyboards (especially Mike) and oh boy, Roland have released a performance keyboard that have had us all checking our piggy banks and wondering which bank to rob to be able to afford this beauty...the Roland V-Combo VR-09-B.
This thing has everything any modern keyboardist could want all in one...Natural sounding instruments with amazing quality, alongside some FAT synth sounds, modern and vintage, which are all completely modifiable and easy to adjust. You want to play a soulful, tear-jerking rendition of 'Patrick Swayze's- She's like the wind' at your cousins wedding? There's a beautiful piano sound for that. You want to attempt to demolish your local music venue's foundations at a Electronic-Death-Hardcore-Dub-Revenge Student gig? There's hair-raising Synths for that. Even the pre-set synths sound like they could blow your nan's wig off if you turn the volume knob too vigorously. All we know is....WE WANT ONE.

NEED A REASON? HERE'S 10.

Short and sweet. *ahem* here goes. PROPELLERHEAD HAVE ANNOUNCED REASON 10.
Here at Dropzone Records we find ourselves working with a lot of DAW's for a lot of different reasons. That being said Reason has always had a special place in our hearts. ITS JUST SO FUN.
Renowned for its custom synths and software, virtual studio graphics and amazing live performance capabilities, Reason has been at the forefront of electronic music production for many a year. This time though, they have really stepped things up. With brand new synths and software that come as standard, the DAW that lets you did it all is now letting you, well, do a hell of a lot more?! Seriously just check it out, you will be as impressed as we were. REASON 10 WATCH VIDEO

NO WAY TO CONTROL IT, ITS TOTTALLY AUTOMATIC.

Ever heard of AUTOMATICA? Neither had we until we found this absolute masterpiece last week. Not only is a great piece of music, the video is AMAZING. Stop what your doing and have a butchers.... AUTOMATICA 4K WATCH VIDEO

That's it for this month, Let us know what you guys and girls are getting excited about below! Feel free to share your own finds!

Oh my! I only use a free program called electronic piano 2.6 on my computer for music production (along with Audacity)! ohmy.gif Still sounds decent and has enough settings though!

That entertaining opening post though and excellent presentation! You should definitely be a future Buzzjack moderator!

Audacity is a great programme! so useful for all sorts of recording and audio editing, plus I've never come across a microphone or usb interface/instrument that audacity doesn't support! sometimes the free stuff can be just as good as the pro stuff they charge you an arm and a leg for laugh.gif thanks a lot! glad you enjoyed it. next month we have even more new tech, slightly longer post! wink.gif
