EXCITING TIMES as I have a new food question for you guys based on real life experiences.

On a Digestive biscuit - do you class the chocolate side to be on the top or bottom? This came to my attention because Bray eats them with the chocolate side faced up [right on the above pic] but I have the chocolate side faced down [left on the above pic]! I had never even taken much notice of it before, but it would feel sooo weird for me to hold it with the chocolate side on top and take bites that way. Although maybe that explains why they always melt on me.

The chocolate is faced upwards on the packaging but McVities said this on Facebook about it being downwards.

So - chocolate side on the top or the bottom of the biscuit when you eat it, Buzzjack??

Chocolate is strictly a top. If it's on the bottom it melts and goes all to shite!

I'd never even thought about eating them the other way round kink.gif it makes some sort of sense to have the chocolate against your tongue I suppose so I might be open to being converted but it was always been chocolate up for me xx

The chocolate side is definitely the TOP - I couldn't put the chocolate side face down on the table in case it melts a little bit and leaves a chocolate mark mellow.gif

Let's say you're at a party with food laid out. There's a plate of chocolate digestives. If the chocolate is on the bottom, how do you tell whether it's a chocolate digestive or a plain one..?

Anyone who says the chocolate goes on the bottom is going on 'ignore' because that's just too far

Okay maybe they can be laid out with the chocolate on top but when it comes to eating them I'd have to flip them over

Yeah chocolate on top.

True, they're essentially a digestive biscuit with chocolate on the bottom (as for the plain ones the McVities logo is on the top- kind of blew my mind when I realised this) so I can accept that "officially" the chocolate is on the bottom, however it starts getting messy if you start holding the chocolate part, it melts too easily, so has to be eaten with chocolate on top with fingers on the sides/ slightly underneath. What else has chocolate smothered on the bottom? Nothing. Good thing this can be easily flipped. x

Imagine eating a Jaffacake the wrong way round.

I never knew anyone could live this way. Do you eat your toast with the jam (or other spread) on the bottom too?

I apparently like to live on the wild side with my biscuits. Don't worry, it doesn't quite extend to toast! laugh.gif

I'm trying to think of what else it could include though now it's giving me anxiety. Jammy dodgers? Iced doughnuts? Cake with butter icing? Cups of tea?

I think this is just a thing with biscuits that have chocolate *almost went to say on the bottom* on one side! kink.gif I am sane with Jammy dodgers for instance, heart on top. Tea however... I guess that would be upside down with me pouring it away as I don't like hot drinks x

(omg my upside down bat bitmoji avatar on here is so relevant to this thread)
