I want to type a letter on my PC and print it out but don't have a printer. Can I type it at home and print it out in the library or is that not possible? Do I use Microseft Word? How to even access that? Thanks. Maybe I need to type it up in the library and print out there but would rather do it at home.

Wordpad isnít the same as Microsoft Office Word which is what you would ideally need. You would then save the document normally. Then when you do your email to send to yourself, you need to attach the document to the email.

Library computers will have Word anyway I expect so you can just type it there or type it home, email yourself it and then put it on Word there and print it.

Think I'd better do that. Hopefully the kind lass I saw before will be there to help me.

It doesn't come as a default on many new PCs. It can be quite expensive to buy though - normally you have to buy the entire Office suite which can cost 3 figures, although you can get a discounted version for about £10 through certain jobs and through schools. Worth looking on eBay to see if someone's selling a product key for an older version.

If you don't have word I'd use Google docs which is free and online so if you have a Google account you can sign in using that at home, type your letter up, save it and then when you sign into your Google account at the library you'll be able to access and print it there magic.gif

Just type it in Wordpad, copy/ paste it into an email o send that email with the attachment to yourself, go to library and convert it to Microsoft Word there. Tidy it up a bit then print it.

Microsoft also have Office software available online that can be used for free here. It's basic, but does everything you'd need to get done.
