I keep finding chunks of half-cooked, half raw, meat, like steak pieces just cooked a bit on one side, in our back yard so it must have been thrown by the family on the right of us. They've just moved in and are a big family and always having barbecues even now it's colder. Could the police test it do you think if I took a piece? Maybe they're just throwing her a treat or trying to poison her. Better have a word and say not to throw her anything. Could say she's on diet.

They've probably seen you've got a dog, and maybe when they are cooking barbecues some meat falls off mid-cook and they are just chucking it over thinking nothing of it as they'll expect the dog to eat it?

I highly doubt they are deliberately trying to poison your dog.

Well you never know these days. Look at that cat killer who's still not been caught. There have been dog poisoners too.

She does bark a bit but only if she sees a cat or squirrel. Not continuosly or late at night or early morning though.

Yes you should ask them politely not to throw anything. Going to the police especially if their reasons for throwing the meat may be innocent as Oliver said may start a big feud between them and you tbh.

Make sure your dog does not eat any of the meat.

Take them to the police for a test

If nothing, they are just treating the doggy and no one need know you asked for an analysis

If something, better to know

Better to be safe than sorry
