For me, it would be The Beatles - Octopus's Garden

I used to ask my sister to play it all the time. smile.gif

Manic Street Preachers - A Design For Life and Earth Song - Michael Jackson, both of which I liked. Not sure but I think 'A Design For Life' I first heard though.

There were also a few chilled 90s songs I remember hearing when in a shopping centre in the late 90s as a young child,

Youssou N'Dour - 7 Seconds ft. Neneh Cherry
Sinead O'Connor - Nothing Compares 2 U
Annie Lennox - No More I Love You's
Donna Lewis - I Love You Always Forever

Obviously some of these were a few years old already at the time I heard them in the mid-late 90s.

One of these, can’t be sure, but it was mum and dad’s collection:

Kate Bush-Wuthering Heights
Beach Boys-God Only Knows
Drifters-Up On The Roof
Heaven 17-Temptation

First music video I remember seeing was 2 Unlimited-No Limit

My favourite song from my early childhood was The Jacksons - Blame it on the Boogie so probably that.

(yeah I wasn't that into modern music when I was 3 wink.gif )

I'm not sure what the first song I remember hearing was, but my first music video memory is Björk's 'Hidden Place'. It was one of those moments I just always remembered for some reason. I was about 10. My sister and I were hanging around at our uncle's and the video popped up on TV. I think both of us were mesmerized tbh as we both went rly quiet.

It could be one of them below:

Boogie Pimps - Somebody To Love
Black Eyed Peas - Shut Up
Elton John & Kiki Dee - Don't Go Breaking My Heart
Deep Blue Something - Breakfast At Tiffany's

lol that would probably be mine too, or Happy Birthday :’)

Popular song wise though, I think it was either Spice Girls Wannabe or Eiffel 65’s Blue (Da Ba Dee), the latter was the first song I remember really liking even as a six year old.

Take That's Relight My Fire I think, 'Go West' by the Pet Shop Boys shortly after - I'd have been 4/5 at the time. First memory of Top of the Pops is when Mr Blobby was number 1.

It does make me feel kinda old that those are some of the oldest songs mentioned in this thread so far tongue.gif

Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen.

Remember hearing it a lot when I was a kid, probably because of the release on the Wayne's World soundtrack, I used to love watching the music video.
