Well my tempura prawn thread hasn't generated much interest so we'll try this.

So, mustard. Quite hot if you buy the proper stuff like Colmans but do you like it. I bought a Colmans one last week as it's only 70p in Sainsbury's instead of 1.55 and like it but you've to have it sparingly. Usually have the milder more vinegary French's American mustard. Mustard heat doesn't linger in your mouth like chili heat does though.

Oh and think we should have a vote thread at the end of the year to see whether you think me or Lolita has won the food thread battle. biggrin.gif

Can take or leave it, I'm not put off buying a sandwich from a shop if it has mustard on but I wouldn't go out of my way to put mustard on if I make a sandwich at home. Same goes for mayo.

Mustard is vile. I am that awkward fussy person in restaurants who asks for "just ketchup, no mustard" on my hotdogs x

Um ew why would you want that stuff on there. Mustard is an evil condiment- why do you think it was weaponised in gas form for warfare? kink.gif

Tbf it's ok if used sparingly in cooking and mixed in but I can't stand the stuff in its pure form. Hotdogs/ burgers should have bread and ketchup if desired, nothing more. #RonSwansonmethod

I thought before I clicked on this thread, that the poll was going to be on different types of mustard, wholegrain dijon is my favourite! Followed by Colmans and hotdog (the last one only really goes with a hotdog imo though).

Had my first brussels sprouts of the season today and dipped them in mustard. Nice.
