I meant if you're minging by the time you wake up.

I think so - I always have to shower in the morning, one for bed hair, two to feel clean, three as it's a waste to shower then sweat for 8hours

People still use the term 'minging'? unsure.gif

I used to always have a shower in the mor...well let's just say, when I woke up kink.gif but now I always have it in the evening purely cos I get up at 6:30 for work and I rlly can't get in the shower, nor indeed do much at all, that early. You do sweat a lot in your sleep which was why I was reluctant in the past, but I've find just wearing clean clothes, washing your face, brushing your teeth and putting deodorant on in the morning can fix that. The summer when the nights are rlly muggy may be a different story.

Also, the experts* don't lie ;o

"Minging" is a stretch, but it's generally more hygienic to shower every morning rather than evening, given how much we sweat in the night without realising.

Personally, I can't really start the day without a shower to freshen me up and make me feel a bit more alive, but I'll sometimes shower in the evening too if it's been a long day.

Maybe not minging but it’s pointless to do that really, unless you’re cold enough in your sleep to not sweat I guess laugh.gif

I prefer to shower in the morning as it's the very first thing I do to wake myself up so it's just part of the routine! I don't judge people who shower in the evening ready for the next morning - as long as you're hygiene isn't affecting yourself or anyone else I don't see the problem.

also 'minging' is a pretty disgusting word laugh.gif haven't heard that since the noughties I think!

I always shower at night, I'm not sacrificing 20 minutes of sleep for a shower in the morning tongue.gif

(and I need an hour minus screens before I get to sleep so showering at night doesn't take 20 minutes away from my sleep)

Nah, it is an unrealistic target for me to always shower in the morning when it's a struggle enough to get out of bed laugh.gif On a Tuesday in particular, when I have to be up at 6:30am and I simply do not have the time to fit showering into my morning routine. Music is usually my method of waking myself up during the commute. I prefer bathing anyway as a lovely way to unwind. But when I do shower instead, I am not rigid about a structure and just shower whenever the time feels right. Like Chez, I will of course wash my face, clean my teeth, put on deodorant and wear fresh clothes each morning anyway.

Thing is if you start work at half seven, you’re up at six to get ready and sort things out so how do you fit in a shower without getting up earlier??

I shower in the mornings but I've heard that showering at night can help you get ready for sleep by slowing down some of the body systems preparing you for REM sleep

Depends for me, if i'm up too early I'll shower in the evening because it's just quicker, saves us all fighting for the shower as well laugh.gif If I have a lecture at like midday I'll just shower in the morning before that.

I shower before I got to bed (makes getting to sleep so much easier cos of how clean you feel) and I get a shower in the morning.
